50%
Of the total air pollution In USA,
during the worst wildfire years,
was due to the wildfire emissions.
A recent study suggests that Wildfires are
moving more and more towards Cities,
termed as URBAN FIRES.

The common air pollutants due to wildfires are:
Carbon
Monoxide
Nitrogen
Dioxide Ozone

Fine particles in wildfire smoke can be
several times more harmful to human
respiratory health than particulate matter
from other sources such as car exhaust.

The adverse and underestimated effects of wildfire smoke on the citizens compel
us to increase the monitoring capacity, especially in such wildfire-prone cities.
In India, the recent Similipal wildfires marked
the weak ambient air monitoring network.
As shown in the figure, there were no ambient air
monitoring stations present in the cities that
were most likely to be affected due to the
wildfire.

Oizom’s Polludrone is capable of
measuring the ambient air pollutants
such as:
Particulate Matter, Carbon Monoxide, Volatile
Organic Compounds, Carbon Dioxide, Sulfur
and Nitrogen Oxides, etc.
It is capable of providing accurate and
precise results in highly polluted
regions with extreme high and low
temperatures, and extreme weather
conditions.
Polludrone is an ideal choice to
measure air pollution in cities prone
to wildfires.
10. POLLUTION HEAT MAPS Significance of Low-Cost Air Quality Sensors in NCAP
Oizom generates high-resolution pollution maps using
various data. Through this hyperlocal pollution heatmap,
multiple geospatial applications can be addressed.
Through historical data and its trend analysis, direction
and magnitude of change in environmental condition for
upcoming days can be deciphered.
The dispersion analysis and hotspot identification helps in
tracking the smoke of wildfires in cities and alert the
citizens in case of severe air pollution.
