7. Communication of the working group
o Labour market and skills information, definitions of green jobs and skills
o Strengthening services for jobseekers and employers to support skills development
o Shaping and delivering ALMP training measures + use of employment incentives
o Working in partnership, PES can have different roles regarding provision of labour market
information / skills intelligence
o Strategies for greening PES themselves including a view to basic green / sustainability skills of
PES staff
o Collecting good practices first by G7 PES

8. 1. PES definition of green jobs and skills
(i) green occupations are those contributing to measuring, preventing,
controlling and correcting negative impacts and damage to the environment
(e.g. maintenance officer of natural areas, forest ranger, technician in charge
of the water police, etc.); (ii) greening occupations include occupations
whose finality is not environmental, but which integrate new ‘skills building
blocks‘ to take into account in a significant and quantifiable way the
environmental dimension in the professional act (e.g.: architect, thermal
insulation installer, logistics manager, gardener, etc.).”

9. 2. Online job services based on green jobs
The online job bank includes its own category on green jobs for job search
and recruitment. Criteria for green vacancies are:
1. The job involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive
environmental outcomes.
2. The job involves supporting green economy sectors.
3. The job requires specialized environmental skills or
knowledge.

10. 3. Services for jobseekers
o Organizing virtual information events on "green jobs" online
o events provide information including on Green vocational
training and degree programs, labour market opportunities
in general and in concrete

11. 4. Green services for employers
o Program to help people learn skills for working in the
offshore wind industry. They are working with businesses
and local unions to create a training program
(apprenticeships) that fits the needs of employers and
communities
o Program will focus on vulnerable groups

12. 5. Tackle youth unemployment with a
transnational approach
o The INTERCEPT project stretches over three countries - involves a group
of 300 NEETs (Neither in Employment nor in Education or Training)
o Train, enrol them in 3-month paid internships in green businesses
o employment related to Green Economy
o integrate NEETs in the green economy
o project partners are public employment services that will be able to see,
through the project, the effectiveness of their services

o HR development in new businesses
o HR development for digitalization and green initiatives
