The Turkish Republic of Northern
Cyprus is a republic on the northern
and eastern side of the island of
Cyprus. Turkey is the only state which
recognizes the Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus. Cyprus is an island
in the Mediterranean Sea, south of
Turkey.
After Sicily and Sardinia, Cyprus is
the third largest island in the
Mediterranean Sea.

Acapulco Resort & Convention & Spa is the
most favorite 5 star resort hotel in North Cyprus
for both business and leisure holidays with a
high quality global standards and services
combined with the Mediterranean culture.
With mountain and sea views, the guest rooms
feature satellite TV, air-conditioning, luxurious
bedding, minibar, private balcony and
bathroom.
Acapulco Resort Convention SPA offers an
array of activities for guests to enjoy their time
off such as tennis court, billiards, Aqua Park,
supervised children and adult pool, Turkish
bath, Jacuzzi, hot tub, fitness center, sauna,
water sports facility, private beach and
Animation & Kids club. The resort also has a
Casino for guests to try their luck.
Guests can relish complimentary buffet
breakfast and dinner that specializes in Cypriot
and Turkish cuisine. At the in-house bars, guests
can unwind with spirits, cocktails and fine wine.
Ercan International Airport is accessible in a
thirty-minute drive.

The Acapulco Resort Convention Spa Casino Hotel
has begun operations to provide high quality
services to its guests. The huge complex, covering
120,000 square feet, provides ferry services to the
Kyrenia Castle and Alanya, plus 10 km from the
Kyrenia Seaport. Modern rooms have free internet,
satellite tv, mini fridge and balcony. There is also a
7/24 room service.
There is an open buffet restaurant in the
magnificent aura. As a result of numerous
opportunities, the outdoor pool, restaurant and bar
service created for private days on the beach, gym,
spa center, seasonal programmed entertainment
and concerts, aqua parks and children's parks.
The work environment and the staff are very
positive. Specifically, the staff are friendly, smiling
and helpful.

7. The location of the enterprise in the market, competitors of the
enterprise.
• Although the Acapulco Resort
Convention Spa Casino is a 5-star
hotel, it can compete properly. He
was awarded the Trip Advisor
Hotel of the Year in 2013 and 2015.
The Acapulco Resort Convention
Spa Casino Hotel has never been
in trouble.
• The choice of our hotel, both
domestic and foreign, makes us
even more impressed.

8. Duties and responsibilities identified
during the internship.
Mutual expectations in student-
enterprise relationships
• Although I spent 14 weeks at the Acapulco Resort Convention Spa Casino, I tried to learn and make
innovations.
• Every new day I learned something new. My job was a bartender's assistant.
• Our hotel attracts tourists like a hotel on the Mediterranean coast and revived with charming palm
trees. Tourists were predominantly tourists from Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic
and Iran.
• Even though English is a bit of a language, Russian was also a major subject. Since I was able to
make small details in the bar section of the hotel as soon as possible, I was going to help other bars.
One of the hotel's expectations for students is to adhere to ethical rules.
• There were some tourists who were rude to us, but we continued to work quietly and patiently.
• The hotel's code of conduct includes:
• 1. Protection and proper use of hotel property
• 2. Protecting the privacy of the hotel
• 3. Inability to provide financial information outside the hotel
• I've always managed to be one of the disciplines. The hotel provides us with uniforms and what to
wear at the hotel.
• In general, the hotel contract for the hotel internship also reflects the hotel's expectations and the
student signs the contract and confirms the responsibility.

9. Internship section. Duties and responsibilities, work
done.
• The lobby bar, one of the largest and most
selective bars in our hotel, is open to
guests 7/24. Our hotel has a strategy that
uses four types of wrists. First of all I will
talk about the green bracelet. Simply
includes room and guest room.This type of
guests had to pay 4 Turkish lira for extra
water from the lobby bar. They could taste
any local drink from the lobby bar. But if
they choose from the menu, they will
certainly have to pay. Therefore, our hotel
continues to fulfill its basic principles.
Serious customer service and customer
satisfaction are essential. Tea and coffee
assortments (espresso, cappucino, black
coffee, coffee milk and hot chocolate) were
predominantly in the Lobby Bar. Very few
have had customers who order alcoholic
cocktails.

10. Pine Court Bar
The pine court bar, which
attracted the most of the hotel's
customers, admired everyone with
its billiards, mini-restaurants and
high-level service.
The service hours were from 08:00
to 24:00.
Variety of coffee and Turkish
coffee prevailed at this bar.
1 barmeid and 2 barmeid
assistants worked.

11. Sunset bar
• I started working at the Sunset bar from
May. There were only bartenders and
bartenders in this bar. When I started my
career, there were eight employees. 1 was a
bartender and 7 was a bartender assistant. I
worked at this bar for a month. Within a
month, I learned how to clean the bar, make
the drink, arrange the warehouse, make
cocktails, control beer and premixes, serve
alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and
always have a friendly conversation with
our guests.
• We were also distributing all drinks with 2
people. The bartender was mostly the driver
and the deputy bartender was the one who
unloaded the goods. My working hours
were between 16:00 and 00:00 and
sometimes between 12:00 and 00:00.

12. Sunset Bar
• I worked without permission for the first
two weeks. And so I got used to it. The
Sunset bar served a quick drink in the
Sunset Restaurant, which was designed for
1875 guests. During the holy month of
Ramadan and the Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus, our hotel was fully
booked. Our Sunset Restaurant service
hours are as follows:
• 07: 00-10: 00 breakfast
• 12: 30-14: 30 lunch
• 19: 00-21: 30 dinner
• Sunset Bar prepared a regular work
schedule during Ramadan and Sacrifice. No
worker was allowed for two weeks. After
19:00 the service started and I was offering
customers alcoholic and non-alcoholic
drinks at the bar. At the end of the month I
was sent to a short-term Aqua bar.

13. Aqua Bar
• Guests had a relaxing and enjoyable time
with sidewalks, pools and a luna park
designed for children.
• I worked there for a week. The bar is open
from 08:00 to 23:00. We were ordering
many alcoholic cocktails here. While we
were working, we were only ordering
alcoholic cocktails. My job here was to clean
the bar, learn the mechanics of the coffee
machine and satisfy the customers.

14. Seaside and Beach Bar
I was able to work at this bar for 2 days.
The working mechanism of this bar was
different from other bars. Since Seaside is
a la carte restaurant and bar, all
wristbands have been paid for food and
drink.
I learned a milkshake cocktail here.
There was a beach bar on the edge of the
beach under the bar.
Only one barmeid and barmeid assistant
served in the bar. The most popular
cocktails were for children. Service hours
are between 10:00 and 18:00.

15. Moonrise Bar
• I worked at this bar for over two months. I
had a new team and the staff and managers
were friendly people. The bar was opened to
visitors in 2017. A romantic view of the sea,
the sunset and the future of the moon. We
had 650 guests here. There were 1050 guests
on special occasions. The number of visitors
increased because the bar was All Inclusive.
Cold and hot drinks were offered at this
bar. We worked with 5 employees at the
bar: 2 bartenders, 1 bartender assistant and
2 barmeid assistants.
• Most of our drinks consisted of hot and cold
drinks. Work did not end in the smallest bar
in our hotel. Working hours were 08:00 to
00:00. In the new business environment, I
became a favorite of the guests and a
desirable employee of my managers. I was
honorable and professional. That's why I've
been a bartender in the last two weeks.
However, after my last job, my managers
gave me positive feedback.

16. La Femme Bar
• İn this bar, disco and watching
football, basketball and other
sports.
• This bar the smallest bar.

17. Difficulties, causes, and ways to solve them
while performing your task.
• Since the hotel is large and spacious and international, of course it meets
international standards and pays attention to every small activity, so there can
be many problems.
• When I first started, I had problems with bartenders and bartender assistants.
Sunset Restaurant and Bar is so big that I accidentally served the wrong drink
to customers several times. I corrected this error immediately. I made small
mistakes in my work. Of course I can make mistakes as a worker, my basic
principle was to establish a friendly relationship with the employees and learn
new cocktails. Sometimes if I ask the staff for help, it won't help. I had to work
for hours. We have served our pesky customers patiently and quietly. Once the
customer spilled the drink and went. I cleared this section. When we broke the
glass, my managers told me to calm down.

18. Your advices for enterprise
• The Acapulco resort convention spa hotel looks really cool and perfect, but you
can see the internal problems while working at the hotel. During my internship
I also saw many of these trials. I can say that the hotel has a staff shortage. This
shortage reduces the level of service at the hotel, and employees are forced to
work more than 8 hours per season because they are not completed on time and
are difficult to find solutions. If the number of employees is insufficient, the
hotel's services will be reduced to a minimum. Even though there is a shortage
of services, mistakes can be made by training and educating staff.

19. Comparative analysis of theory and
practice.
• Theory is a place where there is no sign, that is, it studies the theory. Of
course, we received information about theoretical knowledge at the
university. I gained a great deal of theoretical knowledge about the hotel
system at the university. At first glance this knowledge was strange, as I
was doing this during my internship, I met different students and
deepened the theoretical knowledge I gained at the university. Of course,
theoretical knowledge may not be sufficient for new knowledge, but
experience can have a positive impact on both theoretical knowledge and
personal development. I wish I could learn more from theory. I attended
training at the hotel every week and was always on different topics.
These exercises helped to gain a lot of knowledge during the internship.
The difference between theory and practice is that sitting in the
classroom can only be fun and boring from a teacher's lecture, but the
experience also touches, feels, learns and witnesses more interesting facts
and new situations.
