KGUARD Steel – Composite Deck Solutions
KGUARD Erection Sequence
 Locate Lost Socket (000041) and Tek
screw into position. Note - always locate
in lower trough of metal decking.
 Note - protect threaded “female” fixing
point with plastic grommet, as supplied,
prior to pouring.
 After concrete pouring operation, remove
plastic grommet to reveal Lost Socket
(000041) thread.
 Thread the Adaptor Socket (000085) into
the Lost Socket (000041) until the foot is
touching the concrete.
 Tighten the Adaptor Socket (000085) with
the KGUARD spanner (000024).
 Insert Safety Post (000068) into Adaptor
Socket (000085). Use dimple, “line up and
lock” connection points for ease of
installation.
 Note - post centres not to exceed 2.4m.
Refer to supplied KGUARD drawings for
specific positions.
 Place Guard Barrier (000005) onto Safety
Post spigot housing and lock, ensuring
latch mechanism is in vertical position.
