STS Systems started business in 1992, specialising in
the supply of a wide range of post- and pre-tensioning
products used primarily in the mining and civil
construction industries.
Our focus has always been on supplying our clients’
requirements to the highest standards. By doing this,
we have developed our skill set and ensure we provide
quality, strength and durability in all our work.
Our engineering and quality control expertise enabled
us to meet the ISO9001 accreditation in 2007. STS is
extremely proud of the quality it can offer, giving our
customers peace of mind that their projects will be
manufactured accurately the first time.
STS has a manufacturing and warehousing facility in
Australia. We are also part of the HMI group, which
specialises in sourcing and supplying quality goods
from overseas. One of the companies, HMI China, has
been in business since 1991. At present it has over 20
full time engineers – specialists in manufacturing and
quality control. When Australia has the highest
specialist skills, we manufacture locally. When
overseas production volumes and skills offer an
advantage to our clients, STS sources this supply and
ensures it meets our quality standards.

3. GRIPFAST
Our Gripfast Range is designed for use as a
consumable in the Mining and Tensioning markets.
Both markets have a requirement for 100% reliability.
All components in our GripFast range are subject to our
strict Quality Control procedures. They are fully
ISO9001 Quality Standards compliant.
Our Gripfast range has been progressively designed
and manufactured since 1992. It has been successfully
used in Australia, across the Middle East, in Europe
and the US. We have a proud, time proven track record
for reliability.
The heart of the GripFast range, the Wedge, is
individually subject to our demanding quality controls.
Each wedge has full accountability, from its steel type
to its heat treatment batch. Every wedge is hand
checked for compliance during the assembly process.
Our anchorage systems range from Grey Iron Slabs to
Steel Circular Anchors. From single to six strand
applications. If our range does not meet your needs we
are happy to help you with the design and manufacture
to your specific requirements.

4. GRIPFAST WEDGES
INTRODUCTION
TECHNICALDATA
The GripFast wedge is a consumable designed for use with our STS post-tensioning
components. Used in the mining and tensioning markets, where total reliability is the
benchmark, the product locks the steel strand in the conical hole of the wedge block, GripFast
barrel, Ground Anchors or Double End Joiners and allows transmission of the tension in the
steel wire into the anchors or barrels. In the market since 1992, this critical product is
manufactured under rigorous quality control processes.
Design enquiries from customers are welcome.
The wedge is manufactured from material complying with the AS1443 Australian standard,
under our ISO9001:2008 quality system. The quality history of each wedge, from raw material
to finished product, is documented and traceable. Individual inspection reports and material test
reports are kept for all products and are available to clients at any time. Heat treatment is
carried out in Australia.
6. FLAT ANCHORS & WEDGE BLOCKS

Post-tensioning flat slab anchorage offers a cost-effective and efficient solution for tensioning in
the construction industry. We stock and supply a wide variety of flat anchorage components to
suit 13mm (0.5”), 15mm (0.6”) and 15.7mm (0.62”) strand diameters, catering for up to five
strands.
STS can also help you in the design, manufacture and supply of any specific product
requirements with competitive prices and project cycle times.
Our flat slab anchor is manufactured from grey iron and meets the AS1830 Australian
Standard. The wedge block is manufactured from ductile iron and complies with the AS1831
Australian Standard. Our anchorage products are closely monitored by our quality system and
material test certificates can be supplied on request for each and every delivery.

12. CIRCULAR ANCHORAGE
INTRODUCTION
Our multi-strand wedge plate provides an effective tool for situations that require slope
stabilisation and specialised post tensioning. Circular anchorages are ideal for developing
support in poor ground conditions.
Standard units range from single strand to six strands. Should you need a different range for
your project, we will work with you on the design, manufacture and supply of a tailored product
to meet your specifications.

Our double-ended strand joiner provides an effective post-tensioning solution, allowing two wire
strands to be joined as an alternative to replacing a whole length of steel wire strand. It provides
a timely and cost-efficient solution to onsite needs. As with our other GripFast components, our
joiners are designed and manufactured to high specifications to ensure reliability.
16. MULTIGRIP
Our Pre-Tension Range has been designed for
situations where repeated parts use is the norm.
As with our range of Post Tensioning products, the
entire Multi Grip range is subject to our strict Quality
Control procedures and is fully ISO9001 quality
standards compliant.
Our MG range has been designed and manufactured
over several decades. The whole range has been
designed to be reused time and time again and has a
proven track record for reliability.
As the MG range requires different properties to the GF
(Grip Fast) range it is manufactured to different
specifications. For example, the steel used is of a
higher grade and the hardening process results in a
slightly softer, less fragile finish.
Given careful use the entire MG range can be used
scores of times resulting in substantial cost savings.
The MG range can be used in different formats to
provide solutions in multiple situations, resulting in
reduced stock holding and lower costs.

17. MULTIGRIPWEDGES

Our MultiGrip Wedges are designed for use with our STS pre-stressing components. This
product range is designed for repeat use where high reliability is the benchmark. The MG range
of wedges uses a high grade of steel and a more demanding specification for heat treatment,
resulting in a more durable product.
The MG Wedges principally used in repeated tensioning applications are compatible with our
range of MultiGrip Barrels, Spring Loaded Anchor and Double End Joiners, as required. This
allows lower stock holding levels.
Should you require specifications of MG Wedges that are not in our range, STS will be happy to
help you with their design and manufacture.
The MG Wedge range manufacturing process is closely monitored by our STS Quality System.
This meets the ISO9001. All wedges have full traceability, backed by full quality documentation,
from the raw material to the finished product. Individual inspection report and material test
report are kept for all products and are available as requested.

attachment to wire strands is required. The assembly is designed to protect the enclosed MG
