WHAT IS FIRST AID?

A medical attention that is usually administered
immediately after the injury occurs and at the
location where it occurred.
A procedure that aims to save and prolong lives,
alleviate suffering, and prevent further injury?

8. 1st: Check if the scene is safe.
2nd: Make sure that the victim is lying on his back.
3rd: Check the responsiveness of the victim.
4th: If there is no response, call for help.
5th: Then do the Primary and Secondary survey.

9. PRIMARY SURVEY
Used when the victim is unconscious and to find out
immediate life-threatening conditions.
1. Airway: Check if there is blockage in airway.
2. Breathing: Use the maximum head-tilt-chin-lift method
and method look-listen-feel.
3. Circulation: Use carotid pulse, if negative do CPR.
If there’s pulse untighten clothes.
4. Check if there’s a bleeding and stop it immediately.
ABC method

10. PRIMARY SURVEY
Cardio Pulmonary Resucitation: 30
compressions and 2 breaths (5 cycles)
If the victim revived, do the secondary
survey. If NOT continue perfroming CPR
while waiting for the rescue team.

11. SECONDARY SURVEY
Used when the victim is conscious or has revived. It
aims to detect everything about thepatient’s condition.
Record all the data and surrender to the rescue team.
