Students will complete a labeling activity. - A brief review of grammar from the previous class, including examples of common errors. - An introduction to vocabulary used in context and collocations. Students will do a matching quiz and practice activity. - A discussion of language used to express rules and expectations, including modal verbs. Students complete a chart as practice. - Homework is to finish and submit the Conversation Starter activity before the next class.

• 1) Turn the cards over, facing down.
• 2) Choose a card, show your group, and say a
sentence with the phrase. Your group members
should listen and tell you whether or not they
think it was grammatical AND meaningful/logical.
• 3) After the group has agreed on a correct
sentence, the next person should draw a card
and continue until the cards are gone.
