• 1) Why it is difficult to diagnose HIV in newborns? 
• 2) What is the difference between AIDS and HIV? 
• 3) According to your knowledge, what people can do to protect themselves from 
AIDS and HIV? 
• 4) Do you think sexual education at schools could be an effective way to minimize 
the transmission of HIV? Why/why not? 
• 5) Is AIDS a common disease in your country? Are people generally informed 
about what the disease is and how it can be treated? 
• 6) Do you agree or disagree that the marriage can be successful between a 
couples where one of them has AIDS? Why do you think so?

• Pg. 80 –read the paragraph + Part A
 In pairs, say one sentence (each partner) about each 
slide. Use the vocabulary word in each sentence.

1. This house is portable because it can be moved from one place to

2. It is nice to have a portable house if you are planning to move around
