  1. You have an Idea and you present it. So what matters most? Your content. Correct. Lets understand its type, so that you can put content according.
  2. Internal : request decisions from managers within the organization, such as proposals to buy new equipments or launch new research projects. External: request decision from parties outside the organization.Ex; include investment proposals, which request funding from external investors; grant proposal, from government, sales proposal, which suggest individualized solutions for potential customers and request purchase decision.
  3. For instance, if I want to open a Gym, which will cater all short of problem disease wise, like for diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer so on. And it will have all facilities like Acupressure, Aerobics, Zumba, workout etc. Focus on Core Issue. Scope: Boundaries of your work Indicate your sources of information, the research necessary; and constrants on time, money, personnel, or data. You need to produce something beyond a report, perhaps a new marketing plan, or tangible product. Indicate who will be responsible for what, when task will be completed, how much the investigation will cost.
  4. 1: by reading proposal it should reflect your knowledge, that you know more about the topic. Like if I want to start a Organic Restaurant or Disease Specialized Restaurant…so how much knowledge do I have about disease or organic things… 2: Avoid generalization, provide quantifiable data. 3: use trade publications and internet to become familiar with the product, service and other detail of other company. Find out what alternatives your audience. 4: Appropriate and feasible. 5: relate your product, service 6: Errors, omission should checked
  5. Pg: 421,Request for proposal: When organization require complex products, services, or system, they often prepare a formal invitation to bid on the contract, which includes instructions that specify the exact type of work to be performed or products to be delivered, along with budgets, deadlines. For example when NASA wants to develop a new satellite, it prepares an RFP that specifies exactly what the satellite should accomplish and sends the RFP to several aerospace companies, inviting them to bid on the job. Your respond to RFP by preparing a proposal that shows how you would meet the potential customers need. Give potential bidders some background information on your organization, your business priorities. Project description: put your requirement in context. Requirement: don’t leave anything to unstated assumptions. Decision: let bidders know how youll be making the decision. Is quality more important than cost? Proposal requirement: explain what you expect to see in the proposal itself which section, what media, how many copies etc. Submission: A well written RFP answers most potential question, and it also tells people when, where, and how to respond. As well a contact name within the organisation who can answer detailed question.
  6. Readers may not perceive a problem or opportunity the same way you do. You need to convince them. Briefly describes the change you propose & highlights your key selling points and their benefits, showing how your proposal will help readers meet their business objectives. State the boundaries of proposal.
  7. Proposed Approach: Describe what you have to offer, your concept, product, focus on the strength of your offer in relation to readers need. Work Plan: Explain the steps you’ll take their timing, the methods or resources, how work will begin, how it will be divided into stages, when you will finish. Describe your organization experience, personnel, and facilities- all in relation to readers need. Covers pricing, reimbursable expences, discounts.
  8. Key points, emphasis the benefits, that customer should realize from your solution.
  9. Linked: graphics, spreadsheet, database you can link these using Ms. Office. Electronic document: pdf
  10. Characteristics: Balanced: present all side of the issue fairly and equitably. Clear: uncluttered, simple english.
  11. Title fly ( is SINGLE sheet of paper with only the title of the report on it.),
  12. title page( 4 parts: title of the report, name, title, address of the person, group,2. the name title and address of the group that authorized the report,3. name, address of the organization who prepared the report,4. the date on which report to submit..
  13. Apart from this, Letter of Transmittal: a specialized form of a cover letter, introduces your report to your audience. It is placed right before the table of content.
  14. Body: contains the information that supports your conclusions and recommendation as well as your analysis, logic and interpretation of the information. Dont give long paragraphs only, put some graphs, images to support your content. Reader should not get bored. Close: benefit of reader.
  15. Appendixes.
