Golder Associates Ltd. – Ottawa
Junior Geotechnical Engineer
Nicolas Jamin is a Junior Engineer with Golder Associates Ltd. His specialties
are the characterisations of soils with implication on mechanical properties and
the organization and supervision of drilling operations. His excellent technical
capabilities and ability to work as a team and to communicate effectively have
provided him with the opportunity to gain valuable experience on diverse and
complicated projects, over the 1.5 years since he joined Golder. Nicolas has
completed his master's project in geotechnical engineering at Laval University.
During his thesis, he focused on the cyclic and mechanical behaviour of a glacial
till, which led him to learn a variety of tests and to gain valuable understanding of
advanced soil mechanics. Prior to his graduate studies, Nicolas obtained a
degree in Civil Engineering from McGill University and worked on the Eastmain
1-A dam project.
