Are you a young artist interested in theater? Do you long for your moment on the
stage? Then PLAY STUDIO is the perfect place for you!
In this class we teach theater fundamentals, equipping our young artists with an
artistic toolkit developed and practiced through theater games, exercises, and the
production of a short play performed by the young artists of Play Studio. Join us for
what promises to be a fun, silly exploration of character development, ensemble, and
creative play, that will leave your young artist excited for more!
*We have split this class into 2 more specific age groupings. If for some reason, both classes
do not reach sufficient enrollment we may combine all ages into a single class or change
the age range to make it possible for both classes to run.

This term we will be doing plays that explore/adapt Lewis Carroll's ALICE IN
WONDERLAND.

Part "D&D-style" tabletop role-playing game and part improv intensive, Mudlark's
LEAGUE OF ADVENTURE is all epic exploits! Led by an experienced game master and
theater artist, League invites a group of young thrill seekers to craft characters, build
worlds, and embark together on a thrilling quest. This program is perfect for young
artists interested in creative exploration but less inclined toward performance.

Mudlarkians Love Sketch! Our sketch camps, classes, and shows have never been
more popular, and your excitement for this form has inspired the SPRING SKETCH
FESTIVAL!
Young artists can either register or be placed in this hybrid program through
Mudlark's winter auditions, in one of 2 ensembles that rehearse a new, original
sketch show on EITHER Tuesdays or Thursdays. Directed by Chicago comedians and
theater artists, the SPRING SKETCH FESTIVAL is certain to offer young artists the
chance to develop as writers, performers, and comedians while having a ton of fun.
We are planning 2 ensembles, Tuesday and Thursday. Each group of actors will only
be called 1 day each week until tech rehearsal and performances.
