1. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
Position Classification: Exempt and salaried
Reports to: President and CFO
Primary Functions: The HR manager will act as the strategic
and hands-on leader who is responsible for
the leadership of management and
administration of employment policies and
practices, including recruitment and
employment benefits, managing time-offs
and vacation for staff members.
Supporting Functions:
1. Articulate employment policies, procedures and applicable laws and
regulations to staff, ensure compliance and effective HR administration
2. Plan, recommend, execute and implement HR workflows and procedures,
employee’s rewards programs, recruitment process for all positions of the
organization.
3. Write and revise job descriptions, employee handbook as necessary, conduct
annual/bi-annual performance reviews, analyze compensation, monitor
performance evaluation and revise as needed
4. Monitor staffs’ punctuality, punch-in and out management, ensuring breaks
and lunches are taken in compliance to California Labor Law (Labor Code
Section 512)
5. Maintain personnel files for each employee. Follow up on sick days, paid-
time-off, vacation and salary changes, etc. Update personnel attendance files
weekly on computer.
6. Communicate with various department managers to improve staff’s morale
and work performance and productivity through informal and formal
coaching, performance reviews and corrective action plans.
2. 8. Coordinate benefits enrollment (health, dental, life and disability insurance)
for new employees. Maintain and update changes in coverage for current
employees.
9. Attend weekly staff meeting to announce and update HR-related policies and
procedures. Coordinate with Front Desk admin staff to document, summarize
and share meeting minutes with all staff members.
10. Contribute short and long-term organizational planning and strategy.
11. Perform other duties assigned by the company's president/CEO
