•The word 'Environment' is derived from the
French word 'environner' which means to
'encircle or surround‘
•Thus environment can be defined as the
physical, chemical and biological world that
surround us as well as the complex of social and
cultural conditions affecting individual or
community.

Environmental Science
Environmental Engineering
Environmental Management

4. Scope of EVS at the Primary Stages
 Skill needed to find out about their environment and seeks solution to the
problems.
 Attitudes such as curiosity, which their drives learning, and willingness to
consider evidence.
 Concept that help them to understand the world around them.
 A language for describing and communicating their observation and ideas.

To know the more sustainable way of living.
