The document provides a narrative report on the first week of implementation of the National Learning Camp (NLC) at the Lugait Senior High School from July 24-28, 2023. It discusses that the NLC was created by the Department of Education to offer enrichment activities for students and remediation programs to maximize learning outcomes over summer break. The school principal Dr. Ruelyn M. Aying organized an orientation for teachers and held registration for students to determine which learning groups they would be placed in based on gaps. During the first week, instructors created lesson plans and rosters for their assigned students. Activities focused on both enrichment and remediation with the goals of improving learning outcomes and supporting teachers.

NARRATIVE REPORT
WEEK 1, JULY 24-JULY 28, 2023
The National Learning Camp (NLC) will soon be implemented, according to the Department
of Education (DepEd), in an effort to improve students' educational experiences. The National
Learning Center (NLC) was created to offer a wide variety of enrichment and intervention activities
for students in Grades 7 and 8, as well as remediation programs for students in K–12, with the goal
of maximizing learning outcomes over the summer break for SY 2022–2023.
With these, the Lugait Senior School endorsed the execution of the aforementioned NLC.
Our thoughtful school principal Dr. Ruelyn M. Aying took the initiative to organize an orientation
with teachers and stakeholders on the first day of implementation. The learners' registration and the
determination of the group camp to which they belong based on their learning gaps served as the
foundation for the execution. The individuals engaged developed an action plan, a class program, a
roster of campers in each group, and other materials in advance of this three-week learning camp.
These were the last things the Lugait Senior School needed to approve of the NLC's
execution. On the first day of implementation, our intelligent school's principal Dr. Ruelyn M. Aying
organized an orientation with teachers and stakeholders. The execution was built on the learners'
registration and the selection of the group camp to which they belong based on their learning gaps.
Prior to the start of this three-week learning camp, the personnel involved created an action plan, a
class program, a list of the campers in each group, and other resources.
July 26 and July 27, 2023, are the third and fourth days of implementation. In the Lugait
Senior High School, these are exciting times. The teachers created a fun activity that was specifically
catered to the requirements of the students, whether it was enrichment for advanced students or
remediation for students who needed more help.
The final day of the week, July 28. Students keep showing up at the school to celebrate the
final day of NLC registration. The NLC instructors continued instructing their students throughout
this time. As stated in our tagline, "Para sa Bata, Para sa Bayan," the first week of the NLC
implementation quite demands that we spend the majority of our time in school rather than with
our families. However, this is necessary to achieve the dual goals of the DepEd, "To help improve the
learning outcomes and support teachers so that they can teach better."

NARRATIVE REPORT
WEEK 2, JULY 31 – AUG 4, 2023
I set up the classroom and the items to be utilized for the Learning Camp on the first
day of session. As part of this learning camp, I have a remedial class. I gave spoken
communication lessons. I'm only teaching seven students at this learning camp.
I have planned a variety of activities for the pupils this week. I handed out a bond
paper to each of my students I instructed them to write down in English what they
expected from this learning camp. I let them talk and share their expectations after I
had written them down.
I didn't jump right into the right lesson. I gave my students one tale to read at the
beginning of the week. I distributed the reading material to them once they've had
enough time to read they read it out to me. Additionally, I showed them how to
correctly read and pronounce the words that they have trouble pronouncing.
I administered a pre-test to the two pupils on the Camp's second day. After completing
the pretest, we spoke about the lessons it covered. After the conversation, I call them
and inquire as to what was said, giving them the opportunity to elaborate on certain
points. I began the day with a minute of zumba so that the students will be alive and
alert. Following the pre-activity, we talked over the prior lessons and then took a little
test on them. We discussed the performance challenge that they will be preparing as
we wrapped out the week. They will showcase their talents in drawing their favourite
proverbs and riddles. Additionally, they will get ready to give a speech about what the
proverbs or riddles they choose. Before presenting , I will give them adequate time to
rehearse and prepare.
The most significant participants in this learning camp are the learners, and I will do
all in my power to provide them with the information and materials they need while
also allowing them to explore and develop their talents. I'll assist and encourage my
students while they participate in the activities I've planned.
