1. Information
To whom it may concern
This is to confirm that Nekha Malele has been working in Assembly plant maintenance
department for 12 months. During this time she has been working on the introduction of safe
work procedures for the artisans. She had to gain knowledge of the equipment and how to use is
safely as well as compile the documentation for this.
She has also been actively involved in the maintenance stores project. The first phase was to
reconcile all capex equipment bought for F30 and get the values to mach what finance had and
here she assisted the maintenance planner. The second phase was to move the one time buy
parts to MS in SAP. Here she also assisted but in some cases even taking the lead. She provided
timing plans before it was requested. She has also brought the additional students up to speed
and assigned them with tasks. She also communicates with the IT people daily giving them
feedback and parts that need to be moved.
During her second semester she involved herself with the Visiontools cameras assisting the
system engineer with the daily analysis of the pictures taken and compiling the reports to be able
to give feedback to production about failures that occurred the previous day. She also worked
with the OPTI team and came up with a design for new cover in the door fitment area and with
this solved a problem which the plant has had for a long time with damages to the car. The OPTI
team was also assisted by Nekha on the door line with the minimizing of scratches around the
door handle area.
On a weekly basis she assisted the maintenance planner with setting up of the cleaning plan for
the equipment in the plant and also the buyoff of equipment after it was cleaned.
Nekha will be a good candidate for the graduate scheme as she is a hard worker and willing to
learn. She works independently and can deal with complex tasks given to her without have to be
coached extensively. She takes initiative and is not scared to take on tough discussions when
needed.
Kind Regards
