- 4. TRICK… Multiply your numbers like normal Count up the negative signs… If there is an ODD amount of negative signs, the answer will be NEGATIVE If there is an EVEN amount of negative signs, the answer will be POSITIVE

- 6. WORD PROBLEM… After it is launched from a boat, Sea Rover descends 60 feet per minute. Where is it in relation to sea level three minutes after its launch? Directions: Use a number line to show repeated addition. -180 -120 -60 0 3(-60) -180 Therefore, Deep Rover is at –180 ft., or 180 ft. below sea level.
