A hugely experienced football coach who has established an exceptional record in the game throughout several senior

Currently Performance Development Manager and U14 - U17 Scotland boys national team coach with the Scottish
Football Association - playing an influential role in the daily coordination of the national Performance Strategy across
seven Performance Schools with 300+ players, as well as leading ongoing player recruitment, coach development and
the coaching of several elite young national teams.
Previously the Head of Youth Development at the SFA and Academy Manager at Ross County FC - building invaluable
experience in how to identify and nurture talent, how to implement structures that support the players’ learning within
a specific philosophy, and how to ensure coaches are able to deliver at the required level.
Now looking to explore challenging senior coaching / management positions that provide the opportunity to both

• Appointed to this newly created position to oversee and audit all youth football activities in the North Region, set up an office and
staff structure, act as the public face for the SFA in the region, and deliver key components of the National Youth Plan
• Led sustainable change management within local affiliated associations and boys and girls youth clubs
• Responsible for all coach education in the region as well as the delivery of the Quality Mark scheme to local clubs
Performance Development Manager // U14 - U17 Boys National Team Coach: 2011 - Present
• Responsible for strategic planning, management and implementation within seven SFA Performance Schools
• Work in collaboration with national team coaching staff to recruit players and deliver high quality coaching from U14 to U17 level
• Oversee staff recruitment and line manage seven Performance Coaches, a Performance Analyst and two education staff
• Design, manage and facilitate an innovative coaching curriculum for the Performance School project
• Plan and coordinate each of the regional and development squad coaching and match programmes
• Drive ongoing player identification and recruitment to the Performance Schools and regional squads

the U16s to be 2014 Victory Shield champions; and reaching the elite qualifying round of the 2013

Project Manager - Life Skills through Sport: 2002 - 2005 // Academy Manager: 2000 - 2002
• Strategically managed the youth academy, community and education programmes, collectively known as Life Skills through Sport
• Designed a distinct coaching curriculum and provided visible technical leadership for each programme
• Worked to expand the scouting department and ensure the continual recruitment of talented players at all age groups
