Tragedy is an imitation of an action that is serious complete and of
a certain magnitude in the language embellishments with each
kind of artistic ornament the serval kinds being found in separate
parts of the play in the form of action not of narrative though pity
and fear effecting the proper purgation catharsis of these and
similar emotion

Morden Tragedy readers to the tragedies that were written and
performed from the twentieth century. The tragedy redefines
the gener with ordinary protagonist multiple plots and realistic
timeline and setting

It is Morden Tragedy because it has four tragic characters
struggling with their fatal flaw which will ultimately be their
downfall and the ending does not give a hint as to what the
resolution for the characters might be

alcoholic. Edmund has consumption and is an alcoholic and
Mary is addicted to morphine . Often times Greek tragic hores
are victims of fate. Take Oedipus for example he was doomed
from birth to kill his father and sleep with his mother

9. Conclusion
The reason that many people did not find the end of the play a
real conclusion is because of the fact that Long Day’s Journey
Into Night is not a play of action like almost all other plays are.
It is set within a single room during the course of a single day
and it consists mainly of long monologue and bitter banter
rather than movment or plot development.
