The document discusses feedback received from audiences on drafts of a film poster, magazine cover, and film trailer created by the author for a class project. The feedback was helpful in improving the projects. For the film poster, suggestions led to changing from two characters to focusing on one protagonist. Font, sizing, and layout were also adjusted based on feedback. The magazine cover design improved by positioning the main character in front of the title. Feedback on the trailer led to changes like adjusting the background music volume, improving the title appearance, and modifying the ending credits. Video clips are included showing audience discussions of the drafts and resulting changes incorporated.
1. EvaluationQuestion3:
What have you learnedfrom your audience feedback?
Audience feedbackhasbeensuchacrucial elementof myprogressthisyear,Ifoundit extremely
useful inallowingmyself tobe able tocreate bestproductspossible. The audience feedbackwere
people whotookA2Media Studieswhichwasabenefitforme astheyknew exactlywhere tolook,
the otheraudience were myfriendswhodidnothave the knowledge of MediaStudiesandlastlymy
MediaStudiesteacherswhogave backa lot of feedback.Below Iwill show some samplesof myfirst
draftsand howit developedfromaudience feedback.
Thiswas my initial ideaof usingthe twomaincharacters walkinginasmall alleywaywiththeirbacks
to the camera. However, myteacherspreferredif the audience couldsee how the characterswere
as it engagesthem. So,Idecidedonhow I create the filmposterdifferentlyandthoughtof usingthe
female protagonistonly.Ibelievedthe feedbackforthe filmposterideawashelpfulaswhenI
compare both ideasof filmpostersIpreferthe posterwiththe mainprotagonistasitshowsmore
feelingtoitandattracts the eyesof the audience.
Also,whendraftingmyfilmposter,Ireceivedquitealotof feedbackfrommy
teachersandMedia Studiesstudents.Forexample,the creditblocklookedoutof
place and the fontwas notclear. Also, the namesof the characterslookeduntidy
at the top.The main pointtheyall saidwasthat the title’sfontcolourwasa
goodchoice but it wouldbe betterif itstoodoutmore. So, takinginall feedback
I decidedonusingdifferentsoftware todesignthe filmposter. The release date
was small before andnow itlookshighlightedandbiggerinsize. The developed
posterlooksmuchmore eye catchingas the fontandcoloursusedmakesit
standout more if someone were tosee the posterfromfar.
The change forthe magazine frontcoverwashuge as I founditquite difficulttomake a decentone
so I made quite a fewmockup onesandshowed itto people tosee whattheypreferred.AndthenI
furthercarriedon fromthe feedbackandmade slightchangestoit. As some people likedsome stuff
fromone draft and thensome fromthe otherdraft so I choose fromeachdraft and improveditthis
includesthe colourof the text, whatto write onthe magazine andhow the image can be portrayed
differently. The mainpointthatone of my teacherssaidwasthat it ismore importantfor the
character to be in frontof the title of the magazine cover. So,fromthe change I can easythat the
magazine coverlooksmore differentincomparisontohavingthe title blockingthe image. Youcan
see the change on PowerPointbelow.

2. The feedbackformy filmtrailerwasveryuseful, asthere were quite afew changesthathadto be
done thisincluded,the storytext,howitwouldappearonscreen,whattype of animationIshould
use and the colourof the text. Also, the backgroundmusic wassaidbe quite loudandI had to
increase the soundof the characters speakingasthe audience whomwatchedthe trailercouldn’t
reallyhearwhatwas beingsaid. The appearance of the title wasdull andyoucan see how I had the
changedthe way itlooksto howit lookedbefore. The creditblockwasanissue asI wantedit fill the
whole screen, butif Ihad made the image any biggerthe textwouldstartto pixelatewhichwasan
disadvantage.
No storytextwasaddedin the firstdraft.

3. It was importanttome that the target audience hada sayin the differenteditingstagesof all three
projects, asotherwise,we wouldnotknow whethertheywouldhave beensuccessful once released
to the public.Inorderto showhow I have learnedfromouraudience feedbackthisyear, you cansee
