2004. My name is Setiawati Sudirjo and I am 22 years old. I have just completed a 3-year diploma
course in Indonesian language and literature.
I have had no experience in working as a professional reporter, but I love writing and have
published some articles. I regularly send articles mainly on topics of interest to young people to
local newspapers and magazines. In fact, my first article published was one I sent to a children’s
magazine in my last year of junior high school. Besides this, I also served as co-editor of the
newsletter of the language department while I was at the university.
I feel that the little experience I have had and also my educational background will be an
advantage I would bring with me as a reporter for your magazine. I would like to add that I am
able to work independently but am just as good working in a team. Also, I am eager to learn.
