My name is Thulane Sibanyoni and I am currently studying towards a National Diploma in Electrical
Engineering atthe Vaal University of Technology (VUT) and have completed semesters one,two,and
three and will be completing myfourth semester atthe end of November this year-2016. Further, I’ve
also added modules within the Mechanical Engineering facultyto be able to write for the Government
Certificate of Competency(GCC) upon completing mydiploma .Therefore,Iam writing this letter
requesting for an opportunity to be employed as an in-service trainee in your company. This in
compliance with the principle thata studentof the aforesaid qualification is required to attain experiential
training prior to graduating.
I am an ambitious,self-confidentand hard-working young man who possess commendable qualities.
These entail strong interpersonal,listening,organizational and administrative skills and Iwork well in a
team and I am computer literate.Further, I am able to plan effectively and efficiently, and I can think
independentlyand pragmatically. I am individual of a high level of professionalism who adheres to
institutional procedures and policies in order to deliver the bestquality of work on time.
I currently serve as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering tutor at the Vaal University of Technology,
tutoring first year level students.In this regard, I provide complementaryassistance to students in
addition to whatthey study in a formal lecture. Therefore,in order to be able to fulfil such a role the one
needs to possess the above-mentioned skills and/or abilities.
It is,therefore, in the spiritof capacitating myselfwith practical experience from an esteem institution
such as yours to complementmytheoretical knowledge thatI humblyrequestto be granted an
opportunity as an in-service trainee. Hence,to be granted an opportunityof such nature allowing one to
practice their faculty within work environments related to their studies will indeed be appreciated.
