ARTICULATION MEAN?
It means: The place of emitting a letter while pronouncing it that
distinguishes that letter from other letters.
What is a letter?
It is the sound that relies on a specific or approximate articulation
point.
4. ARTICULATION IN ARABIC
IS CALLED MAKRAJ
And letter in Arabic is called harf.
Now there are 4 major areas for 17 different articulation points.
1. Al-Jowf: meaning the empty space in the mouth and throat.
2.Al-Halaq: meaning the throat.
3.Al- Fam: meaning the mouth.
4.Al- khayshum: the nasal passage.
9. THESE LETTERS ARE
CALLED:
Huroofil meddiyah: Because they are medd letters.
Huroofil Jowfiyah: Because their articulation point is the Jowf.
Huroofil hawaeyah(air flow): Because the air flow stops when we
finish reading the letter.
