1. Teen Night Purpose
To provide a safe social environment for grieving teens to get together to meet new friends and engage in a
variety of fun activities.
Meeting Dates and Times
Teen nights will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 pm beginning in January 2010.
(The two exceptions are on May 12th when the “Movie Night & Pizza Party” will go from 5:30 – 8:00 pm and then in November, when
we meet on the 3rd Wednesday instead.)
Registration & Attendance Policies
All teens must have attended at least one of the following TEBH programs: one evening weekly/biweekly
support group series, at least three monthly support groups, or Camp Hope: A Retreat for Grieving Teens.
Teens must register one week in advance, either online or by phone.
A return call will be made by TEBH staff or Teen Night leaders to confirm with a parent/guardian.
All teens must fill out a short information form prior to attending. This form is available on our website and can
easily be faxed or emailed back to us. All information is confidential and will be used for planning activities only.
All teens who get dropped off by an adult must have that adult come inside to check them in when they arrive.
All teens who drive themselves to teen night must have a release form signed by a parent/guardian in advance.
All teens must leave with their parent/guardian unless we have a signed carpool release form which details
exactly who the teen will be arriving/departing with each night.
Safety Guidelines
Be respectful of one another at all times. This includes people and property.
Our grief is unique. It belongs to us. No one can tell us how to grieve or how long it should take.
No teen participant is to leave the group at any time. Once they arrive, teens will not be allowed to leave TEBH
until a parent/guardian comes to pick them up. (This includes the Kwik Shop next door.)
Cell phones must be turned off at the start of each teen night. No texting will be permitted. No cameras, ipods,
mp3 players, laptops or hand-held games allowed. If any of these devices are discovered, the group leaders will
safely hold onto them until the end of the evening.
No alcohol, drugs or tobacco allowed. No exceptions. Discovery of these substances will result in immediate
removal from teen night activities. Parents will be called to come pick up their teen. If the teen is driving, a
phone call will be made to his/her parent to inform them that their teen is leaving group.
No weapons of any kind allowed. This includes pocket knives, sling shots, guns, etc. Discovery of any weapon
will result in immediate removal from teen night activities. Parents will be called to come pick up their teen. If
the teen is driving, a phone call will be made to his/her parent to inform them that their teen is leaving group.
