As Sociologist following tasks are carrying out:
• Conducting comprehensive base-line socio-economic and census surveys to
generate an inventory of social and economic impacts of infrastructure rehabilitation
projects on the project affected persons and assess the impacts on the people-their
properties and loss of livelihood for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA),
Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), Social Impact Assessment (SIA), Initial Poverty
and Social Assessment (IPSA) etc.;
• Conducting land valuation survey including land assessment survey, social
assessment surveys etc.
• Guiding and Liaison with Consultants, Project Implementation Units and other Line
agencies for mitigation of Resettlement and Rehabilitation activities of the project as
per environmental guidelines;
• Collection of primary and secondary data from the site as well as concerned
departments;
• Estimated the cost of affected assets through market survey, personal observation
and consultation with concerned departments;
As a Social organizer/Gender Specialist following activities are performed:
• Gender mainstreaming by providing technical assistance to provincial office in the
area of women empowerment;

Main Project Features: Potential iron ore resources have
been discovered in Kalabagh, Chiniot and Rajoa areas, in the
Province of the Punjab. The project was a mining and
processing of these minerals including the establishment of
steel mill at any other suitable location in Punjab. The project
partners are DMT-NESPAK-MME-ENDEAVOUR (the
Transaction Advisor) for Punjab Mineral Company Limited
(PMC or “the Client”). NESPAK conducted preliminary
environmental and social impact assessment study to ensure
that the mining and/or steel mill facilities can be constructed in
accordance with the Environmental and Social Laws and
Standards, which are internationally recognized and
accepted.

Limited Main Project Features: Potential iron ore resources have been discovered in Kalabagh, Chiniot and Rajoa areas, in the Province of the Punjab. The project was a mining and processing of these minerals including the establishment of steel mill at any other suitable location in Punjab.
