Presently, I am working as Team Lead Warehouse in Materials Department and my major responsibilities are as under;
but not limited to the following.
• Design detailed layouts of the warehouses for storage of materials for ensuring ease in location and handling of the
items.
• Oversee receiving, unloading and storage of all delivered equipment spares, machinery and supplies.
• Ensure that materials are received only against valid Purchase Orders.
• Coordinate quality inspection of materials ensuring the ordered quantity is delivered and organize segregation and
return of rejected or excess items.
• Review periodic reports to ensure that rejected materials are stored in a separate area and returned to the supplier for
replacement after being documented.
2. • To ensure that the accepted quantity of materials is written off from open Purchase Orders and the balance quantity
receivable is recorded after each delivery.
• Ensure coordination with indenters for inspection and maintenance of materials / equipments in the warehouse.
• Ensure materials are issued according to approved specifications and quantities.
• Acknowledgement of delivery is obtained from the authorized recipients and transactions are promptly posted to the
System and memorandum stock records.
• Ensure timely recording, receipt and storage of materials and co-ordinate with Finance & Costing Department for
appraisal of returned issues and materials
• Periodically review opening balances, receipts, adjustments, closing balances of high value items held in stores
• Co-ordinate with the Refinery’s Finance & Costing Department for reconciliation of subsidiary stock ledgers with
control accounts
• Enforce the application of HSE requirements at all warehouses
• Oversee the inspection, testing, refilling and maintenance of fire fighting equipment, including extinguishers, fire
buckets, hydrants, smoke detectors and regular conduct of fire fighting drills at the warehouses
• Ensure periodic lifting of waste materials from designated collection points, proper segregation, and retention in lots
pending disposal at maximum value
• Investigate any differences identified during physical stock verifications and coordinate adjustment of records with
Finance functionaries
• Routinely visit all sections of the Warehouses to assess quality of housekeeping, and arrangements made for safe
custody of hazardous materials.
• Initiate periodic disposal of scrap and waste materials, with an opportunity to user departments for cavaging for
useable parts and components
• Report to Manager HSE and immediate supervisor of any unsafe conditions, environmental hazards or safety
concerns in relation to any aspect of PARCO’s operations
• To ensure the issuance of required material to the Contractor during turnarounds.
• To establish Cycle Counting Plan and supervise periodic inventory count as per ABC Analysis.
• During inventory count, also emphasis on material specification accuracy, physical health, preservation & unit of
issue.
• To incorporate the highlighted changes in database in consultation with end users.
• To review inventory count difference list (report) and propose appropriate solution / adjustment as per company
policy.
• To prepare and monitor warehouse REVEX & CAPEX budgets.
• To participate in deciding yearly departmental objectives, preparing their planning sheets, and ensure timely
execution.
• To provide opportunities for the training and development of subordinate staff.
Achievements:
• MCR, DHDS & ABU Projects: Stock-taking of two year operational spares & left-over material for Mid-Country
3. Refinery (MCR) project, newly installed Diesel Hydro Desulphurization (DHDS) unit & Asphalt Air Blowing unit
(AABU) of the refinery, and ensured safe storage.
• Turnarounds & Shutdowns: Participated in all the phases of 3 mega Refinery Turnarounds & 5 major Shutdowns of
PARCO Mid-Country Refinery and provided 100% service level.
