1. What is HTML
HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is used for creating
webpages that may consist of writing, links, pictures, sound and video.
These webpages are viewed in a web browser.
Web browser: an application software which is used to view the websites
or webpages.
Examples: Chrome and Mozilla Firefox etc.
2. Example of HTML document

3. Doctype or document type declaration is not a tag but a command which
shows the version of HTML or any other Markup Language.
For example: for HTML5 the doctype is <!DOCTYPE html>
HTML tags:
An HTML page starts with tags in pairs and are called opening tag and
closing tag respectively.
In closing tag, forward slash comes before the tag name.

It is important to note only the content inside the body section is
displayed in a browser.
