1. Let's improve the productivity of
Indonesian youth
As a student of course a challenge so great to establish a startup. Never thought before that I and the
team will set up a startup called bazarharian.com, all just flows until this moment.
It all started when there is a subject called design business startup, lecturer told each student to
establishitsstartupthateachteam consistsof twopeople.Whenitwasme and Angga plan to create an
e-commerce platform.The initialideathatwe want to make into an online bazaar as well as a place for
students who have the entrepreneurial spirit to try to sell their products. After passing through some
long process, we finally decided to set up a startup called Bazarharian.com
At the beginning of the establishment we faced so many obstacles, ranging from e-commerce
resemblance toexistingbeforehand,limitedfundsforpromotion,and knowledge we were not so good
on startup.But overtime,the startupwe beganto developlittle by little starting from the entry of two
of myfriendswhojoinedinthe team.Afterourteamconsistsof 4 people ittakesaclear position on the
team,finallywe discusstodetermine the position to be held by each person. The result of his decision
that I as a CEO, Anga as CTO, Andika as a programmer, Vizel as a motion designer.
One time lecturers provide a challenge to each team to search 10 the first transaction as an early
adopter.We got confusedhowtofind10 transactionswithin1 week, we finally started to promote the
startupthat we have through the website,fanspage,social media,email,andposters.But all the efforts
that have beenmade donot have a significantimpact,the numberof visitorsto the website each day is
increasing but it is not a transaction like what was targeted. Finally we tried to change the way our
campaignintodirectselling,we trytoreallyknow whatisdesiredbyconsumers.Direct selling is we are
doing when they are on campus, at home, and also in our neighbor's house. After performing direct
selling, 10 first successful transaction we get though the struggle is quite heavy and tiring.
Of the transactionwe getthe lessonthatcompetitioninthe world of e-commerce is very tight, it is not
easyto make people believe ittoconductonline transactions.Butatleastwe still have to believe in the
visionandmissionthatwe take itthat we want to helpthe studentstobe able to sell. We will continue
to do a lot of learning and improvement to be able to develop Bazarharian.com. Advice from mentors
and coaches will be invaluable to us.
