2. OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT
• The study seeks to investigate the conflicting
nature of retreat and advancement pattern of
glaciers in Nepal (Dudh Kosi) vs. Western
Himalayas (Zanskar Valley).
• The objectives would be achieved using
geospatial techniques for:
− Spatio- temporal mapping
− Glacier health monitoring
− Thickness change study
