cours vite ,,,»
The news of a camel race spread in the village . It was the talk of oll.when the lame camel
heard the news he decided to participate despite his hadicap.although he had one leg
shorter than the others.he did not feel infferior. To the contrary he has a strong will and
desire to overcome his disability.
On the fixed day he went to the organizing committee were surprised and found the lame
camel excessively arrogant and proud.
When the camel noticed the moking smile، he said »: Why are you so surprised?I know that I
can run fast.I am strong and healthy. »

All the membres of the committee worried about the helth of the
camel as might hurt himself. As a result, they asked him to wait outside
so that they could discuss hiss case. Finlly, they informed him that he
would be allowed to participate under his own responsibility. He had to
sign a paper discharging them of any liability should an accident
happen. The courageous camel accepepted the liability should an
accident happen. The courageous camel accpted the challenge with
great enthusiasm.

On the race Day, all the camels taking part in the race
gathered at the sart line. They looked at the Camel and
laughed at his handicap.
So, filled with self-confidence, he told them:We will see who
the strongest and the fast is.
The camels started the race like bullets shot from q gun
except the lame camel who was the last coprtitor.

When he started to run faster, the lame camel felt great pain. But he endured the
handicap and decided to be patient.
The race was hard as the camels had to climb the high, steep mountain, run for a long
distance then return to the start line.
The young camels tried to climb the mountain rapidly, so they got exhausted. Some fell
down from exhaustion while others decided to withdraw from the race.Meanwhile, the
lame camel, who was walking slowly and steadily, didn’t feel tired at all. While many
camels quit the race before reaching the mountaintop, few others reached the top but
were completely exhausted and had to take some rest.
As to the lame camel, he continued his steady ascent to the summit without
feeling tired. Then he raced down the slope while the other camels were
taking some rest .
When they noticed his advance, it was too late; he was already down the
slope. They tried to catch him but in vain. He was the first contestant to
cross the finish line. He won the cup and became proud of his handicap. He
became a symbol of patience and perseverance.
