2. How does it work?
• Branded films are short videos made
by brands and used as a marketing
tool. They can range from five
minutes to half an hour.
• They are entertainment based, but
can be either fiction or documentary.
• They are content driven, and need to
be relatable and authentic in order
to appeal to the audience.
3. This is a documentary behind-the-
scene, revealing what goes on inside
the colorful, privileged and sometimes
stressful Christian Dior fashion house.
Since my documentary is going to be related
to the fashion industry, I thought that this
documentary about Christian Dior would be a
good example for me to look in to.This type of documentary involves a series
of camera work, from professional camera
movement such as trailing, crane, follow
etc. to handheld work, emphasizes the
reality of Christian Dior’s life. This then
gives the audience a tension build up from
something they didn't expect (appearance
vs reality) and this could also lead to the
audience’s emotions.
4. Target audiences
Primary
audience
Age 17-25
Male and
Female would
be suitable for
both gender.
Secondary
audience
Age 35-60, again
both Female and
Male, maybe
they would find it
interesting
Tertiary audience
Age from 11-15
Male and female,
hoping to get some
inspiration from
the documentary.
5. How social media could help out?
Social media in branding
In my perspective, I think social media would be a really good use for my
documentary, since nowadays most information is easily found spread throughout
the internet.
Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Netflix and much more. I picked out the most popular
apps, since I think you can find what you want on them very easy. And Netflix of
course would be a good idea to distribute and stream my documentary.
