WHAT IS THE STADIUM OF LIGHT?
(Voice over - cinematics of the stadium)
The Stadium of Light is well known for
its football club Sunderland AFC,
hosting football matches from July
1997. Ever since then they have been
hosting football matches on weekends
and some midweek games.
WHEN DID THE STADIUM START HOASTING CONCERTS?
(interview of myself - videos of concerts)
On 5th June 2009 "Take That" came to
the stadium for their 'the circus
live' tour; this was the stadium's
first concert to be held in the
stadium. This concert attracted so
many people and most would have been
local. This brought so many people to
a cultural part of Sunderland. Ever
since then the stadium has hosted
concerts for many artists over the
years.
This was huge for Sunderland because
before then people travelled to
various places in the Northeast to see
a concert. This lead to people
wondering who else is going to be
preforming at the stadium. This gave
people living in Sunderland hope for
its future in musical entertainment.
SELECTION OF ARTISTS
(voice over + concert video clips)
Over the years different artists have
preformed at the Stadium of Light.
These artists are from all over the
world; which has made people travel
from different parts of the world or
UK to see their performance.
IS THIS GOOD FOR SUNDERLAND CULTURE?
(interview of myself)
2.
Created using Celtx
When going to a concert people are
likely to go out for food before and
if they travelled further enough you
could make a day out of it. This means
that all of these concerts throughout
the years would have attracted people
to check out Sunderland's town center.
These people will be going into well-
known restaurants and pubs where they
can get an experience of Sunderland.
IS THE STADIUM A GOOD VENUE?
(interview of myself or voiceover)
POSITIVES
The stadium can hold 48,339 and this
does not count for people standing.
This means that major artists can have
a big fan base to come to their show.
This means that the stadium would sell
a lot of tickets because of how
popular the artists are.
NEGATIVE
The stadium needs to have work done
inside and this issue would cause
people who have travelled to be
reluctant to visit more than once.
This is more focused on people who are
not from Sunderland because locals
respect the stadium for what it is.
As the stadium is a football ground
lighting and sound quality would be
overlooked as their main focus is
football. The speakers they use to
introduce the players most of them are
quiet or broken.
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE STADIUM MADE THESE CHANGES?
(interview of myself)
The stadium needs to meet both demands
and keep everything separate apart
from sound quality. This will show
that the stadium can adapt to
different situations. This could make
more people interested in visiting the
stadium for concerts as they would

feel like they are in an arena because
of the quality.
THE FUTURE OF CONCERTS AT THE STADIUM
(interview of myself)
As the stadium hosting concerts is
quiet new which means they are only
going to improve and gain experience
after every concert they host. They
have already hosted big artists.
It has already been announced that
Bruce Springsteen is coming in 2024
which is at least one artist
performing in the future.
