Mohsin Basharmal completed a one month industry placement at Harley-Davidson Europe Ltd from April 12 to May 12, 2010. During his placement, he was involved in several projects including familiarizing himself with the office environment and Harley-Davidson's culture, participating in market research processes, coordinating invoice payments in SAP, designing new motorcycle concepts, and assisting at a Harley Owners Group event in France. Harley-Davidson found Mohsin to be a pleasure to work with and wished him success in his future.

Mohsin Basharmal worked for one month for Harley-Davidson Europe Ltd between 12
April 2010 to 12 May 2010.
Mohsin was involved in a number of tasks and projects during his 1 month placement at
Harley-Davidson Europe Ltd. These included;
• Familiarising with the office environment and the Harley-Davidson culture including
induction meetings with various Finance, Marketing Communications, Strategic
Planning, HR.and Owner Experience colleagues.
• Inducted into the Market Research process flow, from the identification of the
Learning Objectives through to the competitive pitch process, selecting methodology
and results analysis.
• Involvement in brainstorming sessions with the H-D Originals working group to
define Learning Objectives for a new Consumer Research study.
• Coordinated invoice payment and supplier set-up within an SAP environment.
• Designing several new motorcycle product concepts using various influences
including Consumer Research results, and past and current Harley-Davidson styling
language. These concepts were included in meetings with head office Styling
depaltment staff.
• Working with Harley-Davidson staff from across Europe at the Harley Owners Group
event at St Tropez, France. At this event Mohsin helped setup and run the Custom
Bike Show.
Mohsin was a pleasure to have working with us and we wish him every success for his
future.
