The project aims at gathering best practices from b2b industries and gives specific recommendations in form of a framework which could help business managers decide on their branding strategies. This is of key importance to the company’s long-term business development.<br />•Presented recommendations before the CEO and management team of Atlas Copco.<br />•The project recommendation, a tool to manage multiple brands was actually tested and proved useful in one of Atlas Copco’s main markets, Russia. <br />•The Trademark Council of Atlas Copco, supported by the top management, has incorporated the tool in the company and applies it in its main markets today, ex UK, to check the viability of their brand portfolio.<br />Capstone Project: To help Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), a Swedish apparel and cosmetics retailer, to enter an important Asian market with its first retail venture. The project aims at exploring and advising on the three different facets of a new market entry strategy for H&M. It covers aspects like a) understanding the current retail scene and the fit for H&M, b) Governmental regulations in retail and c) Human Resource and culture issues. Specific recommendations provided on HR issues such as Labor laws, Contracts and Benefits, Recruitment, Retention and Staffing. <br />•Project recommendations, presented to the Group HR head of H&M, would serve as a basis to lay groundwork when H&M enters that particular market.<br />Leadership in Society: A Corporate Social Responsibility project with Globalt Ansvar (Swedish Foreign Ministry) to help companies reduce/deter Corruption when they work with different stakeholders globally. We highlight how businesses and society can progress forward in their support of the UN Global Compact’s 10th Principle. The project draws its recommendation through empirical examples from companies in four distinct industries ABB, Skanska, Swedbank and Pfizer and inputs from investors at Banco Fonder and Folksam.<br />•The project recommendation, a framework of 11 corporate practices is incorporated in the Globalt Ansvar’s toolbox and website to spread awareness among its members, specifically Swedish MNCs and at UN conferences on Global Compact round the world.<br />2005–2007 Project Leader, Infosys Technology Limited, Hyderabad, India<br /> Global consulting and IT services providing end-to-end business solutions (Infosys.com)<br /> <br /> Project leader of the “Freight Management System” project in the Asia Pacific business unit, in Transport and Logistics domain. Managed 8 team members. Responsible for providing consulting on IT issues to the customer, maintaining communication pre- and post- project delivery, feasibility study, project management and conversion of customer requirements into software design. Took bottom-line responsibility for all deliverables to the customer from offshore team. Served as a functional link between the customer and company for gaining new projects.<br />• Our work on process streamlining gave DHL US benefits to the tune of $12,870 / year in the first phase and the generalization of the EDI status messages earned the customer $23000 / month in the second phase.<br />•Proposed and implemented IT business efficiency project by converting the Rating module of Danzas “online”. Lead to removal of operator dependency, saving costs. <br />•Team Lead for project awarded “Best Project in Asia Pacific business unit, 2006” as measured by customer satisfaction, quality and profitability.<br />•Published internal knowledge paper on use of Radio Frequency Identifier (RFID) in solving transport and logistics distribution problems. Paper used as basis for marketing new RFID project to DHL.
