Sans Serif is the more basic of the two general fonts. It does not have little
straight line strokes called ‘serifs’ on it.
There are thousands of fonts that are based on sans serif.
Some of the famous ones are; Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, Verdana and the list goes
on…
San serif is a preferable font for online use because it is easier to read.

3. Serif
Serif font has little dashes on its letters called ‘serifs’ and thus the name.
Droid, Georgia, Joanna and Ms Serif are some of the fonts that are known as Serif
fonts.
Magazines although use both the sans-serif and serif but san-serif is mostly used
for body copying while Serif is used everywhere and anywhere an element of
expression and creativity is to be shown.
