5. GOALS
5.1 Maximize participation in NPTEL MOOC courses for student and faculties.
• The Goal of enabling students to obtain MOOC certificates is to make students employable in the industry or pursue
a suitable higher education programme.
• The Goal of enabling faculties to join MOOC courses is to update skills and knowledge which help in bridging gap
between industry and institute.
5.2 Maximum number of elective courses will be offered
• By offering elective subjects, Institute want to develop echo system for interdisciplinary work. Students can select
the subjects of interest form the given options.
5.3 All department will be NBA accredited
• At present one department is NBA accredited and other departments will follow once the SFR ratio criteria is
fulfilled.
5.4 Placement improvement
• Industry institute interaction enhances student’s interpersonal skills. Industry institute interactions go beyond
academics and it is excellent exposure for students to attain a practical perspective of the world of work.
• Employability of students can be improved by arranging finishing schools, workshops, skill based training. Student
career counselling by experts can improve placement activity.
