EDUCATION:
05/2015: University of Vermont (UVM), Bachelors of Science – Mechanical Engineering (Burlington, VT)
EXPERIENCE:
03/2016-Present: Southwest Microwave, CAD Drafter and Parts Inspection Engineer (Tempe, AZ)
• CAD drafter for drawing and updating production parts and documents using AutoCAD and Solid Edge.
• Parts programmer for an instant visual inspection machine for microwave connector components.
• Developed a system using Microsoft Visual Basic (VBA) to automatically generate part measurement
reports using data from the instant visual inspection machine.
• Wrote an in-depth manuals and parts documents to both program new parts and to measure parts easily.
12/2015-03/2016: Daifuku, Technical Development Mechanical Engineer (Chandler, AZ)
• Technical research and development of new products designed for the industrial scale.
• Collaborated with engineers and sales to determine cost efficiency and ROI of prototype models.
• Patent drafting of potential products.
• Most recent project consisted of a mass battery storage system
09/2013-05/2015: UVM AERO, Alternative Energy Racing Organization Member and Body Design Sub-Team Leader (VT)
• Valued member of an organized run group that works for the advocacy, research and development of
alternative drive systems.
• Collectively and successfully designed, built, and tested a functioning hybrid/electronic racecar to be
entered into Dartmouth’s annual Formula Hybrid Competition to push the envelope of green innovation.
• Organized a smart solution for a complex design and development effort of a carbon-fiber body for a
racecar, with a strong emphasis on quality while focused on a limited budget of only five-hundred dollars
using Solidworks.
• Gained valuable knowledge of elec. circuitry for safe operation of high and low voltage control systems.
• Responsible for the effective/efficient execution of project-level engineering tasks in a team environment,
from project inception to completion (design, analysis, budgeting, scheduling, debugging, testing, etc).
09/2014-05/2015: Senior Design Project, Designer/Client – Camshaft-Free Switch Cycle Engine (Burlington, VT)
• Proposed the Senior Design Project to the Chairman of Engineering for an opportunity to test a theory.
• Assembled a team of five to collectively design, analyze, and build an engine capable of switching from a
4-cycle to a 6-cycle mode autonomously while using only $1,500 of the $3,500 budget.
• Exclusively designed and implemented a control system that autonomously and manually switches
between a 4 and a 6-cycle mode to achieve the best efficiency and power utilizing camshaft-free design.
Personally responsible for designing an original camshaft-free unit.
• Solely responsible for designing the entire electrical system and control unit, which was later compared by
the Chairman of the Engineering Department, to be at the level of work seen at a major corporation (GM).
