A pronoun is a word that can take the place of
one or more nouns in a sentence. The
pronouns I, you, he, she, it, we, and they are
subject pronouns. Pronouns can be singular or
plural. A noun and the subject pronoun that
replaces it must match each other in singular
and plural forms.
