October 2015- present:
I helped a label in Austria, Audio Heart, with the UK leg of some of their acts tour
and will also be assisting in March. This meant I had to work within a deadline and
find venues for a specific dates. This gave me a great opportunity to work with
another independent label in another country while still continue my work at The
Animal Farm.
July 2015- present:
I am currently working at The Animal Farm record label as a music agent. Within
this role I talk with bands and venues daily to organize gigs. I help manage the
artists on our roster and have a hand in deciding the best move to help improve
their careers and get their music out there. I have started to develop contacts of
venues, promoters and other bands and am building relationships with them and
have put together a data base of venues across the UK which is constantly being
updated and built on.
July 2015- present:
Whilst working in London I have been working in Montezuma’s Chocolate shop.
Within this role I have to interact with customers, makesuggestions and providea
friendly and welcoming atmosphere and while working there I received 96% on a
mystery shop. Other duties include opening and closing the store and cashing up.
April –June 2015:
I have completed a 7 week work experience placement for The Industry Group, a
live booking agency based in London. During this time I got to work with the
agents themselves and got to see how the industry works. I helped to research
not only live venues, clubs, promoters and festivals but also helped to build
relationships with bookers and managers. I was able to see how the relationship
between managers, artists and agents really works. I was also shown how to use
their booking programme called system one.
March 2015:
At the beginning of March I took part in a two week work experience placement
at Cherry Red Records, this gave me the opportunity to see first-hand how a
record label works. Jobs while I was there included; the digital distribution of
music, writing press releases, market research, distribution & franking,
cataloguing and general maintenance of the website.
October 2014- March 2015: Receptionist at Foxhills Health Spa
3. As a receptionist I am required to be the front of house and the first point of
contact. The role requires that I am sociable, approachable, confident and
efficient when dealing with customers.
June-September 2014: Yates, Bar Staff & Waitress
June-September 2012/13 (Summer Job): Casino Nightclub, Bar Staff
In these roles I was required to handle money and make good use of my
communication skills dealing with customers, including the difficult ones. I was
required to be flexible and adaptable and work well in a team as well as
independently. My role at Casino also included training and developing new
members of staff.
Interests & Involvement
In my final year I volunteered to take part in the Keele Mentorship programme
which involved mentoring two students during the course of their first year at
university.
I have a keen interest in entertainment and in particular films and whilst at
university I was the social secretary for the film society. This was not only very
enjoyablebut involved organization, delegation and most importantly team work.
I am not afraid of taking on new experiences or trying different activities. In my
final year of university I joined the women’s lacrosse team. This was a great way
of meeting new people and trying something totally new to me.

music and films to the student run radio, and took part in general discussion
shows on these topics.
