Inventory Cost Accounting Manager
• Manage all activity related to the $1.8 billion + of inventory and associated costs through
monitoring, processing, reconciliation, reporting, research and analysis.
• Support the annual KPMG audit and mid-year review of the financial statements.
• Manage the reconciliation and analysis of parts.
• Perform the reconciliation and analysis for car and motorcycle inventory which includes
research and resolving all discrepancies.
• Lead, conduct and organize all physical car and parts inventories for all RDC’s & VDC’s
to confirm the existence of inventory and ensure BMW processes are adhered to.
• Establish the proper valuation of inventory and that cost of sales recognition is valid and
accurate with related revenues.
• Identify and resolve issues encountered with inventory systems and interfaces of such
systems into the INFT general ledger.
• Manage daily operations of the Cost Accounting positions: Senior Analyst/Accountant
Inventory, Analyst/Accountant Inventory as well as Consultant/Intern positions.
Senior Car Inventory Analyst: January 2002 – December 2010
• Reconciled and recorded all BMW & MINI Auto Inventory to the General Ledger and
researched discrepancies.
• Prepared journal entries, account analysis of inventory and related accounts, importation
accrual accounts, monthly Car Performance Report, monthly and quarterly SAP Access
schedules for BMW AG reporting purposes, reconciled custom duty payments, prepared
and recorded the Cash Application and related Foreign Exchange Gain / Loss
Transactions.
• Organized and facilitated annual physical car inventories for all VDC’s.
• Effectively identified and resolved car reconciliation/processing issues with the Cost
Accounting Manager, IT and Accounts Payable.

2. Senior Parts Inventory Analyst: September 1998 – December 2001
• Reconciled Parts Perpetual Inventory to the General Ledger and rectified discrepancies.
• Prepared journal entries, account analysis of inventory and related accounts,
Intercompany Accounts, monthly Parts Performance Report, quarterly SAP Access
schedules for BMW AG reporting purposes, custom duty payments, monthly charge
backs to subsidiaries, Foreign Exchange Transactions and Annual Standard Cost Update
for Parts Inventory revaluation.
• Led and conducted physical parts inventories for all PDC’s.
• Identified and resolved Variance, Standard Cost Update and Parts reconciliation issues
with the Cost Accounting Manager, IT and Accounts Payable.
