1. Chamberlain thought that Hitler had limited aims
because Hitler simply wanted to regain the lands that
Germany had lost due to the TOV. Hitler had promised
that he merely wanted to unite ethnic Germans
together (his justification for taking over Sudetenland
from Czechoslovakia) and promised to stop. This was
why the Munich Agreement was signed.
