Open Programme Short Courses –	
‘Collaborative Learning At Its Best’
We provide a series of short open courses at various
locations across the UK that enable our clients and
individuals alike to access market leading accredited
courses for a fraction of the cost of running an in-
house programme. We have designed and fine-tuned
these courses to deliver the most impact within the
shortest time frame possible so you see behavioural
change and business improvements asap!
With up to 12 other businesses represented in the
room (we ensure that no direct competitors are in the
same sessions as you!) it provides a great learning
and networking experience for all concerned. The
most popular of these open short courses are through
the Institute of Leadership and Management Levels 2
to 5 qualifications that provide an award or certificate
level qualification at the end of the programme.

programme was to develop a Social media marketing strategy linked to call
centre lead generation. We have trialled the project and the results show an

Learning Management 	
System (LMS)
There are literally hundreds of Learning
Management System (LMS) platforms on the
market that range in both quality and price
considerably. This makes finding the right one
for your organisation incredibly important and
sometimes tricky.
The cheapest option here is to go for an open 	
source platform such as Moodle, Totara or Kineo.
These are widely used in the public sector as basic
LMS platforms.
The main drawback to these platforms is that they
are an open source option and as such require a
great deal of programming and forming to get them
into a usable state with the correct layout, content,
reporting and navigation. This is a costly exercise and
will require constant maintenance and upkeep.
The most expensive option is to buy an LMS ‘out
of the box’. This means that the business will hold
the value in the business for the product, however,
will have to again maintain this platform internally.
This route is not a cheap one to tread, as some LMS
platforms have taken over £2m to develop!
The third option, is to partner with a business
partner like Peritus that can provide you with an LMS
platform that can be tailored to your needs. This way
you can purchase the power and professionalism
of the ‘off the shelf’ option while only paying for a
fraction of the cost of the platform and receiving
expert advice to align this with your people strategy.

Steve is an award winning director and forward
thinking entrepreneur with several successful UK
and international based businesses. Steve has over
15 years of experience in the learning and workforce
development sector with a track record in both the
public and private sectors.
In addition to these activities, Steve is also the
Chairman of the East Midlands Institute of Directors
Young Director Forum, which has transformed into
a highly respected network and one of the most
successful forums across the UK.
Peritus work with over 70 of the most leading and
innovative experts in their field, as well as being
able to call on the skills and knowledge of the
Head Office teams. This unique mix helps Peritus
to provide an unrivalled results focussed service,
in a cost effective way. Our people have the

Steven has years of experience in the design and
delivery of high level learning and development
programmes within the commercial and financial
services sectors. While in the financial services
sector Steven was regarded as one of the leading
management development consultants within the UK,
offering mentoring and training to senior managers
in various business sectors. Steven has been involved
in many LEAN and solution based training events
aimed at improving the people and processes to drive
institutional change and growth opportunities.
Peter is a member of the Chartered Institute of
Management Accountants, and has extensive financial
and taxation experience. Peter has worked in senior
positions at a number of large corporates including
Yorkshire Bank, Marks and Spencer, GAP and Coventry
Building Society, as well as many years experience
working with and advising small businesses. In addition
to taxation and accountancy advice, Peter’s specialist
areas include new business start ups, financing, cash
flow forecasting, FX and bookkeeping.
Michelle’s career started in the legal industry where
she trained to be a solicitor before realising her love
and passion for learning and development. She has
held previous training and quality assurance roles,
including designing and delivering programmes herself
and mentoring others. Michelle is responsible for our
delivery team, ensuring that all of our provision is
high quality, informative, fun, changes behaviours and
achieves results.

Open Programme Short Courses – ‘Collaborative Learning At Its Best’ We provide a series of short open courses at various locations across the UK that enable our clients and individuals alike to access market leading accredited courses for a fraction of the cost of running an in- house programme. We have designed and fine-tuned these courses to deliver the most impact within the shortest time frame possible so you see behavioural change and business improvements asap! With up to 12 other businesses represented in the room (we ensure that no direct competitors are in the same sessions as you!) it provides a great learning and networking experience for all concerned. The most popular of these open short courses are through the Institute of Leadership and Management Levels 2 to 5 qualifications that provide an award or certificate level qualification at the end of the programme. ‘’The project I have worked on with Peritus as part of my ILM Level 3 programme was to develop a Social media marketing strategy linked to call centre lead generation. We have trialled the project and the results show an anticipated further £900,000 worth of revenue into the business per annum. Retention is improved and e-learning becomes a valuable resource tool for every member of your team, always on hand. e-learning means instant access to metrics (who’s learning, what are they learning, how well are they learning and so much more) and provides the flexibility to always be on top of your Learning and Development. Not only does it help create a more powerful workforce, it helps eliminate resource pinch points in HR and management. Sleep easy knowing that the next report doesn’t mean wading through complex spreadsheets and HR systems, with Peritus all the information you need is just a click away. Learning Management System (LMS) There are literally hundreds of Learning Management System (LMS) platforms on the market that range in both quality and price considerably. This makes finding the right one for your organisation incredibly important and sometimes tricky. The cheapest option here is to go for an open source platform such as Moodle, Totara or Kineo. These are widely used in the public sector as basic LMS platforms. The main drawback to these platforms is that they are an open source option and as such require a great deal of programming and forming to get them into a usable state with the correct layout, content, reporting and navigation. This is a costly exercise and will require constant maintenance and upkeep. The most expensive option is to buy an LMS ‘out of the box’. This means that the business will hold the value in the business for the product, however, will have to again maintain this platform internally. This route is not a cheap one to tread, as some LMS platforms have taken over £2m to develop! The third option, is to partner with a business partner like Peritus that can provide you with an LMS platform that can be tailored to your needs. Steve has over 15 years of experience in the learning and workforce development sector with a track record in both the public and private sectors. In addition to these activities, Steve is also the Chairman of the East Midlands Institute of Directors Young Director Forum, which has transformed into a highly respected network and one of the most successful forums across the UK. Peritus work with over 70 of the most leading and innovative experts in their field, as well as being able to call on the skills and knowledge of the Head Office teams.   • 23. Steven has years of experience in the design and delivery of high level learning and development programmes within the commercial and financial services sectors. While in the financial services sector Steven was regarded as one of the leading management development consultants within the UK, offering mentoring and training to senior managers in various business sectors. Steven has been involved in many LEAN and solution based training events aimed at improving the people and processes to drive institutional change and growth opportunities. Peter is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and has extensive financial and taxation experience. Peter has worked in senior positions at a number of large corporates including Yorkshire Bank, Marks and Spencer, GAP and Coventry Building Society, as well as many years experience working with and advising small businesses. In addition to taxation and accountancy advice, Peter’s specialist areas include new business start ups, financing, cash flow forecasting, FX and bookkeeping. Michelle’s career started in the legal industry where she trained to be a solicitor before realising her love and passion for learning and development. She has held previous training and quality assurance roles, including designing and delivering programmes herself and mentoring others. Michelle is responsible for our delivery team, ensuring that all of our provision is high quality, informative, fun, changes behaviours and achieves results.
