The following documents were created during my time in ENG4000,
“Business and Professional Writing”. The object of the class was to
prepare us for the many callings of the “real world” by addressing the
theory on and practice of professional communication. The class was set
up as an interactive workshop environment that allowed for clear and
efficient communication to set coordinate projects, collaborate on work,
and discuss progress. The class focused on the main contexts and genres
of writing in the worlds of business.
The work in the class revolved around a FICTIONAL rebranding
company, Re:BrandU, that we took on as a class. As our main project
throughout the semester, we were to compose a rebranding proposal for a
local company in St. Louis, Will Electronics (willelectronics.com). Through
this rebranding proposal, we constructed many documents that come with
this line of business. Following this explanation are the entire documents I
created throughout the course. In order, they read:
1. Rebranding Proposal: Proposed a rebranding concept to Will
Electronics for their approval
2. Job Ad: Created a job ad for Re:BrandU for an opening at a
position that shared our interest. This was later used for mock
interviews in the class (both as interviewer and interviewee).
3. Announcement Letter to Stakeholders: This was used to
announce to our stakeholders at Re:BrandU the state of the
young company and to announce the latest project of working
with Will Electronics.
4. News Release: Similarly to the Announcement Letter, the
News Release announced the state of Re:BrandU
5. Cover Letter: As mentioned before, the class involved a mock
interview exercise. Along with creating interview questions, we
created cover letters and revised résumés so we may go
through the process of applying for the job.
6. Group Media Kit: Finally, we collaborated as a group to
create a final media kit to present to Will Electronics
Finally, just a reminder that these documents were for a FICTION company
for an English Course.

The Company
Will Electronics is a security integrator in St. Louis, MO, specializing in the design, sales, installation
and service of security systems. Will Electronics offers solutions for video surveillance, access control,
perimeter security, burglar alarms and emergency phones. The clients of Will Electronics admire their
hard work and dedication as the quotes on their website show.
Will Electronics’ mission “is to provide and maintain advanced security solutions that meet the unique
needs and exceed the expectations of our clients” and has fulfilled that since 1955. The company strives
to give their clients their best security systems as is seen in the admiration of their clients both local and
across North America.

Dear re:BrandU Stakeholder:
On behalf of re:BrandU, I would like to personally thank you for investing in our new company. With that said,
I am pleased to announce the recent completion of our project with Will Electronics. Throughout this letter I
will inform you with the detail on how we successfully helped Will Electronics and what this means for us in
the short run.
Our first deal with Will Electronics was a very important step for our company. This was our first opportunity
to prove ourselves in the competitive rebranding industry. With the help and trust of Will Electronics, we were
able to put forth a rebranding proposal that would turn their company around and give them a fresh face in their
industry. Since the completion of our deal, Will Electronics has given us feedback of the success it has been
experiencing because of our help renewing their advertising image. Since the end of last quarter, Will
Electronics has reported a 10% increase in sales with trends leaning towards that number growing even more
before this quarter ends!
Our success with Will Electronics will prove as groundwork for more projects to come, as we look find even
more success in our next projects. Looking to the future, we are looking to expand our abilities by hiring new,
highly dedicated employees. These new hires will allow us at re:BrandU to expand our consumer range to fit
more industries and handle more projects at a time around the St. Louis area. This will no doubt lead to the
success of our company for years to come.

Together they give appropriate insight to the changes being done and the reason behind the
changes. The Advertising Campaign and Website Re-Design documents articulate the strategies
that are going to be used to enhance the public image of Will Securities Solutions. We have
adopted three different themes, which include “Family Friendly”, “Scare Tactics”, and “St. Louis
as home”. By using these themes effectively in the use of billboard advertisements, radio
advertisements, and TV commercial advertisements, we will effectively connect with consumers
and increase the client base. Again, collectively the documents go into specific detail about who
Re:BrandU is, what they have done for Will Securities Solutions, why they have made changes,
and what Will Securities Solutions will look like from here on out.

ST. LOUIS- The leading company in company rebranding, Re:BrandU, has revealed their top, most
recent contract with Will Electronics. Will Electronics has emphasized a need for improvements in
their image, their online website, media usage, and advertisement to attract current and potential
business. The company chose Re:BrandU as the best candidate to take the company to the next level
in Security.
The first step that Will Electronics is taking to enhance their image, is in changing their name to Will
Securities Solutions to promote their services as being an answer in securities. By making changes to
the image, they will be more visibly appealing and desired. They will have a unique yet modernized

What: Will Electronics has been working with Re:BrandU in developing a new market strategy to
reach a wider range of consumers that include both commercial and residential needs. In doing so,
Will Electronics has changed its name to be “Will Securities Solutions” and will follow a series of
changes in the portrayal of the company through advertisements and media use to enhance its image

Will Security Solutions (formerly Will Electronics)
Will Security Solutions has provided custom video and security solutions for customers
in the St. Louis region for over 60 years. The company was founded by Carl R. Will in 1955 as
Carl Will TV, offering television and radio repair services.
In 1991, the company changed its name to Will Electronics after entering the closed
circuit television system market. Over the past twenty years, the company has offered access
control systems, digital video recording, and security alarm systems to local companies.
The company changed its name to Will Security Solutions in 2015. This name change
reflects the company’s primary service offerings and marks their entrance into the home security
market.
The company strives to offer individual attention to detail and to build “long-term
relationships based on mutual trust and respect” (Will Security Solutions Mission Statement).
The President of Will Security Solutions is Kurt Will, son of Carl Will, Sr. The Will Security
Solutions main office is located in Affton, MO.
Re:BrandU
Re:BrandU was founded in 2012 to provide unique marketing solutions for companies in the St.
Louis area. The CEO is Justin Noetzel, Ph.D, a current instructor at Saint Louis University. The

Part I: This new homepage features a modern design with elements from the current
website. The image slideshow features client projects. The redesigned menu bar provides
easy access to more information about different aspects of Will Security Solutions.
Part II: In addition, the new Facebook box makes it easy to incorporate Will Security
Solutions’ social media presence. Shared news articles related to security solutions and
events in the St. Louis region will appear in this box.
Part III: The design is based on a template by RocketTheme, Ionosphere. The colors and
homepage design are based on an organization website previously designed by a re:BrandU
team member.

The font used in the “Advanced Security Solutions” title is Roboto Slab.

Noetzel, Saint Louis University The following documents were created during my time in ENG4000, “Business and Professional Writing”. The object of the class was to prepare us for the many callings of the “real world” by addressing the theory on and practice of professional communication. The class was set up as an interactive workshop environment that allowed for clear and efficient communication to set coordinate projects, collaborate on work, and discuss progress. The class focused on the main contexts and genres of writing in the worlds of business. The work in the class revolved around a FICTIONAL rebranding company, Re:BrandU, that we took on as a class. As our main project throughout the semester, we were to compose a rebranding proposal for a local company in St. Louis, Will Electronics (willelectronics.com). Through this rebranding proposal, we constructed many documents that come with this line of business. Following this explanation are the entire documents I created throughout the course. In order, they read: 1. Rebranding Proposal: Proposed a rebranding concept to Will Electronics for their approval 2. Job Ad: Created a job ad for Re:BrandU for an opening at a position that shared our interest. This was later used for mock interviews in the class (both as interviewer and interviewee). 3. Announcement Letter to Stakeholders: This was used to announce to our stakeholders at Re:BrandU the state of the young company and to announce the latest project of working with Will Electronics. 4. News Release: Similarly to the Announcement Letter, the News Release announced the state of Re:BrandU 5. Cover Letter: As mentioned before, the class involved a mock interview exercise. Along with creating interview questions, we created cover letters and revised résumés so we may go through the process of applying for the job. 6. Group Media Kit: Finally, we collaborated as a group to create a final media kit to present to Will Electronics Finally, just a reminder that these documents were for a FICTION company for an English Course. !

Will Electronics offers solutions for video surveillance, access control, perimeter security, burglar alarms and emergency phones. The clients of Will Electronics admire their hard work and dedication as the quotes on their website show. Will Electronics’ mission “is to provide and maintain advanced security solutions that meet the unique needs and exceed the expectations of our clients” and has fulfilled that since 1955. The company strives to give their clients their best security systems as is seen in the admiration of their clients both local and across North America.
