This makes INDUSTRY 5.0 differentiate from all INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTIONS (1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0)
INDUSTRY 5.0 IS BASED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF SYSTEMATIC WASTE PREVENTION APPLICABLE FOR
INDUSTRIES „INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING“ AND RECOGNIZE FOUR TYPES OF WASTE
 PHYSICAL WASTE trash and garbage
 SOCIAL WASTE people who would like to work but not permited to do so
 URBAN WASTE unused brownfields and not needed greenfields
 PROCESS WASTE not effcient processes (empty trucks, overproduction)
INDUSTRY 5.0 WAS LAUNCHED ON DECEMBER 1st, 2015 by an article named INDUSTRY 5.0 FROM
VIRTUAL TO PHYSICAL which was based on two years of the implementation of INDUSTRIAL
UPCYCLING in the real business environment in companiesand businesses including productionand
logistics facilities.
INDUSTRY 5.0 is utilizing the ON-THE-GROUND-MINES or EXISTING RESOURCES to achieve higher
efficiency without the need of capital investment and exploitation of natural resources.
INDUSTRY 5.0 doesnot concentrate onproduct, segmentorfieldof business,butonthe PROCESS OF
WASTING.
WASTING IS ACTIVITY THAT DOES NOT GENERATE ANY ADDED VALUE, BUT INSTEAD OF THAT IT
GENERATE DELAY, ELIMINATE OR POSPONE THE SOLUTION OR CREATE WASTE.
Preventingwastehappenmeans,wastingwill be minimizedoreliminatedandinsteadof workingwith
waste, PRODUCTS would be processed.
To do so, „6R“ methodologywasinventedanditisbeingimplemented.Itconsistof 6 stepsthat must
be appliedinthe rightorderfrom1to6. 6R isapplicable inall environmentsandpreventall fourtypes
of waste.
1. RECOGNIZE that something most nut become waste and should not be wasted
2. RECONSIDER what to do with the product just recognized
3. REALIZE do the change, apply your idea, make it
4. REDUCE the volume of products that has been wasted
5. REUSE utilize your idea in other fields and segments
6. RECYCLE make it standard and apply on personal so as professional level
Despite the official launchof INDUSTRY5.0 onDecember1st,2015, the principlesof systematicwaste
prevention methodology has been already implemented since 2013.
In the years 2013 – 2020 have been prevented more than one million metric tons of products and
material to become waste. From single items (cable coils, pallets, buttons, textile, plastic bottles) up
to entire 15.000 sqm factory, which was closed.
Since 2020 the INDUSTRY5.0 AMBASSADORSNETWORKstarttosupportthe worldwideexpansionand
implementation of INDUSTRY 5.0 principles alla rund the globe.
