JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Campus Network & Computer Systems Admin
LOCATION: Herzing University – Ground Campuses
REVISION DATE: September, 2016
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
This position is responsible for supporting campus educational technology needs and all
maintenance aspects of technology services across network, hardware, software, and desktop
systems. This role requires exceptional customer service skills and communication along with
strong troubleshooting, analytical and diagnostic skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with students, faculty and staff to resolve user problems.
Collaborate with IT management and campus management to implement new technology
to improve the administrative and student learning experience.
Take ownership of campus technology environment and ensure compliance with both IT
Department and campus strategic goals and standards.
Pursue new technologies that bring operational efficiencies and system stability to campus.
Contribute to fostering a team environment.
Install and support servers, network and desktop hardware, software and applications.
Comply with established standards and best practices.
Perform technology needs analysis and recommendations.
Provide Help Desk coverage as needed.
Assist in budget planning by making recommendations the the campus' technology needs.
All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Ability to manage work-study employees, both directly and at remote location.

Other Position Requirements
Occasional travel to other campuses may be required
Willingness and ability to work additional hours during week and/or weekends, as required
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years relevant experience and/or education
Moderate cross-platform knowledge
Preferred Education and Experience
A+ Certification
Bachelors or Associates Degree in IT or related
Experience with PC environment
Experience with networking environment
Microsoft Certifications (e.g. MCSA, MCITP, MCSE, etc.)
