This document discusses the SkillTag project, which allows students to tag the skills they learn in courses and reflect those tags on transcripts and resumes. It also allows faculty to tag the learning outcomes of their courses. The SkillTag project won a hackathon competition and is being developed by Georgetown's in-house innovation incubator. It has the potential to engage students and faculty while providing exposure for the project. The project timeline includes research, prototyping, testing, and a pilot launch over 2014-2015. Areas for potential collaboration include web development, design, data management, and research assistance.
