Profile
Being a versatile, hard working individual allows me to cope with any task which is thrown at me at any
time. I am currently studying A-level Psychology, Geography, Physical Education and Maths at Thorp
academy sixth form and hope to continue on to study sport at Northumbria University. I would bring
excellent communication skills and strong ability to work in a team to your company. Whilst earning my
volunteering awards and sports leaders level 2 qualification from completing over 140 hours of
volunteering it gave me the ability to work on my own to complete challenging tasks as well as working as
a part of a team to help complete events we organised at the sixth form.
Experience
Chopwell youth club, Chopwell
Youth worker (volunteer) September 2015
Whilst working at the youth club I gained good communication skills when talking to the young individuals
that I was leading in sport. Also it allowed me to improve upon my organisation skills to ensure I made the
most of each session that I led them in. Furthermore whilst working at the youth club it gave me a sense
of responsibility which helped make me more able to improve other people's confidence through sport
and the team building activities we ran in the youth centre.
Working there has also allowed me to gain valuable experience helping members of the public which will
be valuable in any given position when working elsewhere as good communication skills are very
important when working anywhere.
Finally working here let me improve upon my teamwork skills which I had already gained through sport,
however this is a more formal version of teamwork skills I gained by organising events for the youth club
and leading through different sessions together in a team.
