Defining Requirements Gathering – Pre Requirements Gathering
PMBOK = Project Management Body of Knowledge
Before we gather requirements we need to understand the project business process
5 project process groups
Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing
A Project, from its inception, is a response to a business need. In most cases, it will align with a strategic plan
Initiating documents are RFPs and SOWs. We respond with a Proposal
RFP – Request for Proposal
SOW – Statement of Work
Proposal – Describes to our client our product, our understanding of what they are asking for, and our plan
to address their need
