In my resume, I will elaborate that I am currently a MSU student with a nonprofit major and
business administration minor. However, I do have experience working with nonprofits.
I have volunteered at the local Calloway County Middle School in the Resource Center. I helped
the director with many activities that they had planned for the students. I have assisted in
directing the children to get their free dental services. Likewise, I packed lunch sacks for the
weekend and put them in the lockers of the students that do not get much food at home. Also, I
prepared for the smoke free pledge in the middle school and many other activities of this nature.
I am well experience with children and adults alike. I am currently the children’s ministry
director at Cherry Corner Baptist Church, and this requires me to be good at handling children,
teaching information effectively, and discussing activities and ideas with the parents to get the
appropriate support.
All of this experience provides me with many qualities that I know would be helpful in a work
environment such as Life House Care Center. I am organized and able to get things done. I
appreciate people, and I am able to talk to people in a way that is effective and makes me
approachable. I am a very compassionate person with a drive that is not easily burned out.
I see these qualities in the mission statement behind this organization and know that my
experience would be greatly useful.
I sincerely hope to be able to interview and discuss further ideas. If you have any questions, feel
free to call (270-978-4731) or e-mail (mtremblay@murraystate.edu.)
Thank you for your time!
