I am a dedicated worker who approaches my positional tasks and duties with positive
attitude and determination. Through the nature of my last 3 jobs I have acquired
knowledge and experience in working with young people and Adults.
Being socially engaged I have developed a strong interest in working with young
people and adults who suffer from disadvantages such as learning disabilities,
Autism, behavioural issues and emotional difficulties.
During holidays and weekends I have planned and executed activity programmes to
engage and enrich the young people and Adults life’s which has stopped some from
having incidents of negative behaviour.

Professional Experience
Position Support worker at Holibrook House for young people with
learning disabilities, behaviour issues and autism.
15/06/15 to present
Duties working with 2 young people aged 15 years of age supporting them within
the home, to attend school and ensure that home work is done. Support them with
social skills in the home and when out in the community. During weekends and
holidays I help plan and execute activity programmes to engage and enrich the
residents. I also liaise with parents, social workers and other members of staff to keep
a strong line of communication. I administer medication and made essential
appointments for any health issues.
Position Support Worker at Outlook Care for Adults with Learning
Disabilities
Dates 18/11/14 to 14/06/15
Duties working with 7 adults with different learning disability issues aged between
20 and 70 years of age as a support worker within there supported living home,
This includes supporting them with personal care, cooking, keeping the house clean,
taking them shopping, budgeting there money, resourcing and arranging activities,
taking them to different clubs and activities, keeping in contact with their family,
administer essential medication.
Position: Residential Worker, Leverton Hall Welfare Secure Children’s Home
Dates: September 2006 to July 2014
Duties: As a residential worker with young people between 10 and 17 years old who
often have learning difficulties, behaviour issues and mental health issues, I have to
be intuitive, resourceful and attentive. In my role as teaching assistant within the
school I play a key role in supporting learning. During weekends and school holidays
I plan and execute activity programmes to engage and enrich the residents. I also
liaise with parents, carers, social workers and other members of staff to keep a strong
line of communication. I arrange medical appointments and administer essential
medicine.
Position: Voluntary Teaching Assistant at Suttons Primary School (Year 1)
Dates: September 2005 to July 2006
Duties: Assisting the teacher in the organisation of activities and materials, compiling
records, provide support for pupils with Individual Education Plans, where necessary,
correct behaviour to maintain order and discipline, give support to individual and
groups of pupils during activities..
Position Head Cook, Gaynes Park nursery
Dates: May 2004 to May 2006
Duties: Preparation and cooking for 45 infants and children up to the age of 4 years
old, ordering supplies, budgeting, bookkeeping and devising new menu’s.
Position: Voluntary Assistant at St George’s hospital
Dates: June 2001 to June 2003
Duties: I assisted patients within the wards of the hospital with writing letters to
family or friends, supporting them with tasks just as personal care, at meal times and
just spending time talking to them; I assisted on the wards for 18 months.
I than helped out in the child protection unit for another 18 months, my
responsibilities included assisting the staff with A&E slips and sending out updated
information on new regulations.
Position: Kitchen Manager, Havering Catering Services
Dates: April 1997 to May 2004
Duties: Overseeing all general kitchen duties, preparing school lunches for children
and staff, supervision of staff, ordering of kitchen supplies, coordinate with school
head teacher, review menu’s and bookkeeping.
Position: Voluntary GMB Shop Stewart and Health and Safely Representative
Dates: June 1998 to July 2014
Duties: Resolving staff enquiries and issues which arose in the local kitchens within
the area of health and safety. I also visited school kitchens within the area to inspect
equipment for safety while I was a kitchen manager, and while working at Leverton
Hall I have carried on supporting staff with any work issues they may have and doing
Health and safety inspection at Leverton Hall and Leverton House.
