Career Goals:
With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a passion for people, animals and wellness, I am
open to all possibilities of non-profit organizations. My career goal is to work my way into a
position as Director of Animal Programs. My passion for the wellbeing of animals and wildlife
has been present since I was a child and flourished when I worked at Big Dog Ranch Rescue.
In addition, I have worked in a variety of positions in the restaurant service industry to put
myself through school. I have enjoyed each experience and improved my people and sales
skills. Having my degree from University of Central Florida, my work at Universal Studios was
a particular highlight wherein I received numerouscommendations for outstanding character,
service and dedication.
Since a young age, I have had a true love for animals, rescue, care and adoption. I am
particularly interested in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation, but have an overall soft
spot for any animal without a voice. As a junior at UCF, I finally realized my career goal, to
serve as a Director of Animal Programs. I dream to commit my time and energy in the efforts
of being the voice that helpless animals do not have. I am well rounded in my experiences
dealing with people through my degree and with my time spent waitressing throughout
college, as well as my time spent working with the animals at Big Dog Ranch. Furthermore, I
held a job for a short while in college, working at a boarding and breeding establishment for
dogs. It is my hope that an internship would be advantageous to gaining hands-on practical
experience and provide a win-win for all concerned.
